Same here good mark up on the ToBreCo KFL clones $70! A SM KFL+ is only around $108 insanity!

With having to replace parts with SS and taking into account shipping costs if you aren't local to a SM dealer it makes sense to buy a SM one!

Wonder how much the Aqua clones will go for?

$26 plus change at FT, so I'd guess 35 to 55 on ebay, about like the tobeco kfl.

Hey Nelse, if you don't want to pay $70 for a Tobeco you can always spring for the real deal. Kayfun Lite Plus Authentic Svoëmesto | eBay

Reading down in the listing shows the real price to be $123.77. Dunno why the price on the buy it now.
I have two tobeco's coming, about 30.00 each shipped. plus, I have a real KFL and a real 91% already :) i'm kayfuned out ;) thx though :)

I'm interested to hear about the pmma stuff you have coming. I see one review on FT that says they 'work pretty good' but I rather see reports from here. If those parts vape just as good, I think they'd make a good combo with a 350 set up.

I bought the tobeco kayfun lite clone on eBay and it is great. Except for the whistling. A bit annoying. It's technically a clone of the Russian 91%.

Today I I found on eBay a seller with a kayfun lite plus clone by tobeco. The airflow adjustment is on the bottom. I scooped that one up today. Can't wait to get it in hand.

skigro, I just got my Tobeco kfl clone from ebay seller, hotdeals4us. They shipped really quick; I ordered New Year's eve and rec'd the Sat after (Cal to PA). Anyways....mine whistles, but not as badly with the air hole screw removed. Good Luck!

edit- I reread that you got the kfl plus....mine is the lite....apologies!

My FT one came in today, so FT won over VB. I'm disappointed though and thinking about trying to get a refund. It smelled of machine oil and I like to of never got it cleaned up. I was using dish detergent, alcohol, hydrogen pyroxide and hot water. Getting it clean is the least of my worries though. I think mine has a burr in the air hole. I can feel it with a needle, and I could maybe ream it out and I maybe would if that was the only problem, but I think the juice channels aren't fully machined out either ( Ta2ooz also posted that his channels didn't seem to be right).
.

I could probably fix both problems easy enough with my dremel but I'm not sure if I want to. If enough of these go back, FT might be able to talk the factory into a little better qc in the first place. Too many of us are covering for the factory mistakes imo.

The threads on the tank section have sharp edges but are smooth in operation. The center chimney is really crunchy, wobbly and a pain to screw on and off the deck, plus the top part of it is even worse.

Seems there are fairly large variations with these clones I ordered 2 in 2 days from FT and had a look at comparing the 2 with each other and a bona fide Svoemesto KFL+. Both the clones were pretty clean with just a hint of machine oil nothing comapred to king which was the Rainbow Heaven Hercules oil was dripping off that when I got it. I have a cleaning regime for every new RBA although this time after the usual process, I soaked them in bi-carb seems to work pretty well but I can steam, boil and IPA being thoughtful to not destroying any plastic tanks;)

I checked the threading on the Svoemesto sure its nice but is the ToBreCo so bad I don't think so in comparison, yes i agree the chimney threading was a bit iffy I worked it a bit it tightens down to the deck with no gap that's all that matters to me. Comparing the threading on the outer section pieces and top honestly the bona fide is better but it's pretty close and tighten everything up (I change everything I can on the clone from new, all screws get replaced with A2 SS 304, grub, coil and fill and all the O rings) it comes together with no gaps and fits flush. The top of the chimney section was pretty tight on the ones I received, threading was ok but both fitted flush. The plastic tank included dare I say seems thicker than the bona fide one and the threads are tight and spot on to me.

It definitely seems there are some variations in the decks maybe alot, I checked both air holes, couldn't find any burrs infact the reported swarf in some was non existent in the two I got. I stripped them down as much as time allowed me to, I really want to remove the insulator but I don't want to damage it unless I have spares to hand. The finish of the 2 decks couldn't be more different with one looking as if it is in fact chrome plated after the FT Taifun GT fiasco nothing would surprise me! I really can't understand why one looks like it's been CNC'ed the other plated , it has noticeable bubbles i took to using some wet and dry on the deck it's steel, maybe someone can post why the finish looks so different.

Given 1 ToBreCo clone is 20-25% of a bona fide one and vape testing is damn good to me, for not much more money than a brass plated ProTank. Covering for the factory? It's a Chinese sweat shop, QC? It's economics and made for the lowest possible cost. It's the best vape money I have ever spent, problems sure, fixable I think so with some time and patience, disappointed? It took me 2 months to get one and worth every second I waited. I would rather have a clone and use the little money I have to buy a Semovar than waste another penny on a SVD, Vamo, KMAX etc that will break in a few weeks now that's Chinese junk.

Hi All,

I ordered 2 Kayfun Lite clones from VaporBreak on 12/1 and they shipped on 12/6 via Sweden Post. The US mail delivered them today and since they were sent registered mail I signed for them. The mail guy handed me my mail and a couple of other small packages that my wife had ordered, so I did not notice anything unusual at the time. I set the stuff down on the table and picked up my VaporBreak package with anticipation about a half hour later.

I immediately noticed that the box was extremely light and that one of the four tape seams was slit where it sealed the box lid and I started to worry. When I opened the box there was nothing in it except a small amount of packaging material. The customs slip on the box is marked with a reasonable weight so I'm left to assume (perhaps incorrectly) that the contents were stolen in transit.

So basically, is there anything that I can do? Has this happened to anyone else? This was my first order from China...and probably my last.

Mine arrived from VaporBreak today with my Nemmy clone, the already installed wick and wire soon came out as it leaked like a pig, 1.3 on ekowool and its beginning to wake up, whistles a bit unless I put the air screw all the way in, getting the vacuum bubble out was a pain too but I followed the sage advice in here and stripped it down, thoroughly cleaned it, cleaned O ring seats and my little 79c FT cleaning brush got the threads beautifully clean, slowly worked all the bits and pieces together so it went and came apart with ease and then built a navy nest using the ekowool and its slowly becoming more and more lively :) Better or worse than my Steam Turbine...? The jury is still out on that one, that ...... whistle though is tres annoying grr

@Jellyfish - I have had about 5 orders from VB and all been good, another order despite being told juices were being carried, was refused by Malaysia post or some carrier and now trying to get a credit or refund from VaporBreak but six emails so far have been ignored :'(

A thing the Chinese companies could do to learn is keeping a good customer happy is better than losing a good customer who also tells ten people who might have been good customers too, I gave up on the lost order from Everbuying but doing that means I won't use them or their sister company Ahappydeal again so who loses?

I received my kayfun lite plus clone by tobeco. (Not the black edition) the black edition has the adjustable center post. I believe that's the only difference. the threading on this thing is perfect. Even the threading on the chimney. Perfect. Not loose and wobbly like my 91% clone by tobeco. Bottom airflow adjustment is really nice. Fill hole is perfect. Screw sits in deeper, with an o-ring and great threading. The best part. NO WHISTLING!!!! The brushed finish almost matches my hcigar nemesis perfectly. Looks really nice. I may have to order the black edition Kayfun lite plus next. Lol.

I ordered 2 Kayfun Lite Style Clones from FT on the first of January. I received them today (Jan 10). Not too bad for a FT order.

Completely disassembled them and carefully examined each. The threads and finish are excellent. Both needed a cleanup of plastic and metal shavings and deburring around the drilled holes in the air path. This was not a big deal. Each had no missing parts and came with a packet of extra screws and o-rings. Interestingly, one had an o-ring between the chimney cap and the chimney tube. My original Kayfun Lite + and Russian 91% do not have an o-ring there and none of the spare o-rings matched the size, so I removed it. I think someone just got carried away in manufacturing.

Another oddity was that the included hex key for adjusting the airflow was not the correct size for the adjustment screw; too small. Fortunately. I had the correct size in my toolbox. So, I was able to remove it for cleaning and adjusting.

After all the above, I coiled, wicked (1/16" 30 ga micro 1.6 ohm, horizontal simple single cotton wick) and filled each one and they vape every bit as well as the original. I should mention that these are a cross between a Kayfun Lite+ and a Russian 91%. 1) Russian 91 fill hole, 2) Russian 91 airflow adjustment, 3) KFL center post (no adj screw).

So when it was all said and done, how do I feel about this purchase? Absolutely delighted! For 53 bucks I have 2 atomizers to supplement my KFL+ and Russian 91% that cost me about $190. I knew what I was probably facing and there were no nasty surprises.

Since I had them all apart I did go ahead and drill out the air hole (in the base) on each to 1/16" since each was slightly smaller than this.

I don't know, but I sure hope there's something you can do. I'd start by taking a picture of the empty box and try to capture the weight listing if possible, then contact VB and explain the problem. They should ship you replacements, but I'm saying should. If they don't, then get paypal involved. Paypal should force a refund at that point, but again I'm saying should. If they don't, I can't think of anything else and I'd say your money is lost at that point. Hopefully, VB will send you another package.

I ordered a tobeco from FT like 3 weeks after my VB tobeco and I just found out the FT tobeco will be here tomorrow! all the VB order says is it left Sweden on the 26th of dec, whaaaaat... i'll be thinking twice before I ever order from vapor break again! if ever....

I finally got my 5 frosted from VB this past week. What a long wait. Whew....

So far, rating the ones from VB (I think they called them russian), the HCigar (light) and the FT sold 3.1, the FT sold 3.1 is superior to the others I have. No whistling, big air draw if you want that (and I do)...better finish.

It has the same finish as a Semovar in semi polished.
