I've been using my kayfun 3.1 on my mech mod with 1 ohm of 28ga Kanthalk A-1 with excellent results. I've also used it on my APV at 1.8 ohms. Some people say it tastes better with lower resistance on either type of mod. Personally I couldn't tell the difference between the two. Both were great.

My question is: What resistance and wire gauge has worked best for you on an APV? Has anyone found any difference with running a 1 ohm build on a mech vs a higher resistance on an APV?

Thanks guys. I think if I decide to use it on my APV, I'll use 30ga also. Still strong and I won't have to use a higher voltage as with the 28 ga. that I use on my mech.

Personally I'd stick with the 28g so you have more coil surface area. I tried 26g at 1.4Ω and the flavor is outstanding, better than the 28g, but I have to make height adjustments because I get too much spitting.

That does make sense. For the vape time the wire temperature would be moderate instead rising to a high temperature too fast as with the thinner wires. Good advice. Thanks.
