I have been looking at the kayfun lite and I am considering ordering it. I currently have a protank 2 and 3, and I am happy they way they work except when they leak occasionally. I really like to do the mouth-to-lung hit, and not the straight up lung hit. I currently have a nimbus and an igo-w3 and when using them I cant seem to be able to do a mouth to lung hit, it is way too airy. I like to vape at 24mg because I really crave that super strong TH and the in-your-face flavor I get at 24mg, and I just can't seem to get the same type of thing at 18mg and 12mg, and anything stronger than 24mg is too much for me. Sometimes I like chain vaping 18mg, but 12 is just really too "mild" to me. I read that the kayfun tastes much better than the protanks, and building coils is not a problem at all. I have done a lot of reading and I am still confused and need some clarification. Thank you all in advance!

So, will the kayfun be able to preform like a protank in that It will hit the same way? I don't like dripping because I have to lung hit, and the 24mg is probably pretty dangerous when blowing clouds. I am not looking to blow clouds, I could care less about obnoxiously filling the room with vapor (I can already do this if I want to with my nimbus and nemesis). So I'm basically looking to keep the juice at 24mg, and I can go down to 18 too occasionally, and I am not looking to drip, and I am looking to do a mouth to lung hit, not just a lung hit, so the draw will need to be tighter. I guess I am almost looking for a similar performance to the protank, but with being able to build the coils, the taste should improve, and hopefully the overall quality of the vape. I was also reading about the Russian 91%, and the Fogger, and both looked similar to the Kayfun.

If the kayfun does not do this, can anyone make any reccomendations and point me in the direction of something that does this? Thank you all so much for your time and help! I really appreciate it!

You can't go wrong with the Russian, Fogger or Kayfun. They are way superior to the Protank in my opinion. I haven't tried the Russian but I have the other 2. To me the Protank was way too airy and muted the flavor. All of these come with airflow control. You'll get more flavor, for TH and more vapor depending on how you set it up. There is a learning curve for making a good coil and finding the right wicking material for you. If you like to tinker, a RBA is for you.

I mouth to lung on my Kayfun Lite+ with the airflow dialed down and it satisfies me quite well. Of course, all vaping is subjective, so I don't think anyone can guarantee you'll be 100% happy but I feel comfortable enough with the Kayfun to recommend it over the Protank series. It's certainly a heck of a lot easier to rebuild, IMO. The Kayfun will leak slightly from the air hole if you don't fill it properly but only a few drops and then it's good. I'm sure there must be a multitude of posts on how to fill a Kayfun from the top and avoid any leakage but if you can't find any both Phil Busardo and Ruby Roo cover the process quite well on Youtube :D

If you'd prefer to see if a cheaper solution gives you what you're looking for first you can get a Kanger airflow control for about 5 bucks. It replaces the original base of a Protank 1, 2 or 3 (the coil head screws into it) and it allows you to tighten or open the airflow. You can really tighten the draw nicely, for a tasty mouth-to-lung. As a bonus, because the air intake is on the side of the base--and not the bottom like the stock base--it reduces leaking.

The V2 is about $7.00 and has a smoother control like the Aerotanks: Kanger Airflow Control 2.0 - Large

And the original version is even cheaper, at under $5.00, though I've read that the dial can get stuck: Kanger Airflow Control Valve - Protank II, Protank 3, Aerotank

With that said, flavor is surely less muted in a KF so if you have the money to play around with, go for it!

I have 4 diff kayfuns in use along with A fogger v4.0 and 4.1 and a Fogger v4 28mm along with the Aqua. If the aqua had a glass tank available i'd be replacing the kayfuns with that but it does not only plastic or SS. So the fogger v4.1-3 would be my choice here is why:
Easy to build dual coils, have never had on leak, works almost as good as a kayfun and have never had one flood. When the kayfuns are working they beat the fogger but not by much. If you go for a kayfun get the Black Edition Kayfun Lite Plus. It's not colored black it's just what they call it. If you would like to have an adjustable center pin go to Fat Daddy's web site and get the upgrade kit. Hope this helps.
