alright, so ive been experimenting with coil gauges and sizes in kayfuns for a while (kayfun 2.1, kayfun lite+, kayfun lite+ V2, and the tobecco kayfun big.) and find that a 27g coul with 9wraps aroung a 16g needle seems to yield the best results totaling a (averaged) .95ohms. this seems to works well on both my regulated devices and mechanical devices. as well as trying twisted ribbon kanthal, it seems to have significantly higher ohms with a relative increase in all desired fields of vape quality (throat hit, flavor, vapor production) most likely being due to the higher surface area and spacing between the coil wraps themselves.
anyone else out there have any suggestions for kayfun coils?
i did a diamond coil once, was tough to call out the positives and negatives for that coil.
did chimney coils, works well, however need constant re-wicking
did double barrel coils, too much work and didnt seem to fit what i was looking for.
and also tried regular flat ribbon, that was also too much hassle IMO for sonstant use.
