Hi All, new member with the above atty seeks advise on leaks.

I have had leaks from the air holes in the base and now noticed a leak from between part no. 26 and 28 via o ring 27.

Basically the interface between the upper ring above the airhole ring and the ring above that.

I expect an O-Ring fix but would welcome any suggestions.

Only seems to happen when re filling too.

Are you closing the juice control when you refill? It will flood and can leak out the air holes if not. The leak between part 26 and 28 would most likely be the o-ring.
What clone do you have? Part 38 should have flat spots on the threads to release air as you screw it down and not build pressure that can cause it to flood and leak, An older version of the EHPro kayfun V4 didnt have those flat spots.

Many thanks for the reply SVrider

I have the infinate V4 clone and the leaking recently is getting worse.
I tried to replace the O Ring 16 with a 13 x 1.5 but then it was too tight to
turn the JC on and off.

I am indeed using the JC to refill.

The flat spots are also present.

One thing to note is that I also need to undo part 38 occasionally and see bubbles rising
and improved flavor and smoke along with it so I guess there is a vacuum being built in there for some reason.

Any further advice gratefully received.

The #16 o-ring is notorious for causing leaks. It's a round ring that fits on a square part, 11mm x 1mm, but the fix for that is a 12mm x 1.5mm ring. You can get a bag of them for a few bucks at www.oringsandmore.com.

Before you change the o-ring, try blowing it out after filling. Just fill it, put it back together, and turn it so that the air holes are down and blow through the drip tip with a tissue wrapped around the base. Turn 90 degrees and repeat for each hole. When you fill you lose the vacuum that prevents air hole leaks. If that doesn't stop the leaks, change the o-rings.

lol everyone says that. The K4 was my first atty and still my go to.. on top of a ipv d2 right now... truthfully you only have to deal with only a select few parts. To rewick- turn upside down small screw in airhole (if tight) turn right and easy change. refill? twist JC counter clockwise, then top nut same way fill, then reverse procedure. Might be intimidating on paper but you really only have to mess with the other parts if you want to change SS/glass/tanks.
