My kayfun V4 version A from FT finally arrived this morning. Even though it wasn't covered in machine grease, I ultrasonic cleaned it anyways.

Upon inspection, I must say I was astonished with the quality and workmanship that went into this clone. No problems disassembling or assembling it either, despite all the talk out there. No problems with springs, either.

Took out the air control screw from the bottom base, as I didn't want it in there, and proceeded to fill it up with ease.

Honest to goodness, this Kayfun V4 is 100x better than the Kayfun Light Plus, which only has two small channels and you gotta suck like a #### to get vapour, especially if it's high VG liquid you're using.

With this particular version of the Kayfun V4, it has 4 wide channels for the juice to easily flow into your cotton, and not gurgle or flood either. Also has a juice control ring to adjust the amount you want flowing in. The flavour it produces puts the Kayfun Light Plus to shame. No kidding.

All in all, skip the Kayfun Light Plus and buy the Kayfun V4. That's assumin you're into Kayfuns.

Next to come is the new TaiFun GT. That should be a whole new ball game.

After replacing the spring my KFV4 works like a dream. I removed the air flow screw entirely and running wide open it is a satisfying vape with no dry hits or gurgling. Absolutely love the top fill option. It's making me ignore my KFL+V2's. Which used to be my favorites (have 3 of them that I may have to start replacing. Lol). I did notice just a tiny bit of leaking near the base with it sitting on my mod most of the day. I may start closing the juice control when I'm not actively using it for awhile.

RECENT UPDATE:

Gonna have to order another Version A Kayfun V4. Had some 20+ pieces on a towel drying out after a fluid change and my trouble making Siamese cat decided to take some pieces (not included in the spare parts kit) and either hide them in the house, eat them, or take them outside. Anyways, after 6 hours of looking for the bloody things, I decided why not just order another one. They're only $23 and this time I'll have many extra parts considering I'll still have the older one as back up.

Nevertheless, life goes on and FT continues to prosper from 'people' like me ...... Lol

Seems like you were very lucky and ordered at the right time. I put in a "price quote" and got this email response back a few hours later:

"Thanks for your inquiry of our.Ismoka Eleaf Lemo RBA Kit.here's.Ellen. I am so sorry!!SORRRY!!!Due to exclusive dealership of iSmoka, we do not send.Lemo to Korea. Thanks for your understand!"
..........................................................

Oh well, I'll try another vendor or site. No big rush. I have RBA's coming out my yin-yang (no pun intended) right now!

Cheers...

I just ordered an Eleaf Lemo Drop from FT for roughly $31 a little while ago. Just shipped earlier this week. The full-sized tank's there too for a dollar extra.

Thanks for that. I'll have a look. I'm having some fun with a new RBA that arrived today. I think it's called the Big Dripper. I paid $15, but they just reduced the price down to $10. It's kind of dripper, but has a big tank on top that you pump your juice down onto your dual coil build. Lots of smoke and no dripping liquid into the thing every minute of so. With the tank on top, you're good to go for hours.

Haha. Yeah, I read up on the Lemo right after getting a Nautilus Mini. Slight buyer's remorse, but I suppose I can just return it or sell it off here.

I was looking at the Big Dripper earlier. Went with a Veritas instead. Still curious about it though...Let us know how it is!

Lol.... "Buyers Remorse".... the story of my life! You're not alone my friend. Especially how easy it is these days to order stuff online.

Anyways, as for the "Big Dripper", I'm still in the 'trial and error' phase. I could solve all that by simply watching a YouTube video, as I did with all other stuff, but today I'm gonna get it right.

It's really well made, solid, smooth threads, and easy to coil up with a bit of patience and tweezers as there's not much space in there to have the wires not touch each other or the sides of the wall.

Pump action works flawlessly. No leaking if you don't overpump and have the juice come out the two airholes. Wish there was a window to see how much juice is remaining so as to not overpump or get a dry hit when it all runs out.

Anyways, for $10 I have yet to see anything better. Amazing price for such a quality item.

Order one!

Na dude, the nautilus mini is great for what it is. I have both the lemo and the nautilus mini and I think they're meant for different purposes. The lemo gives you giant clouds and great flavor and is meant for lung hits with low levels of nicotine. The nautilus however, I use as my sort of 'daily driver' when I'm out and about. I solely do mouth to lung hits with it (to recreate the smoking effect) and still get great flavor.

OK so I received the 1:1 kayfun v4 clone today (not the Tobeco one) I think it's from more tiger or something like that. All parts seem high quality did have a fair amount of machine oil so after giving it a bath and cleaning it it I quickly built a 1.5 ohm coil and wicked and juiced. put it on the device opened all the flows and Ohms were reading some ridiculous number like 7. something. checked all the connection were tight tried again same thing erroneous resistance readings. built another coil recheck all connections seemed fine till I got it all back together and put on another device. Same thing readings are all over the place when I mess with the juice flow control things seem to change. I'm suspecting the spring is the culprit in the base that allows opening and closing of the juice well. clearly it is part of the conductor system. I'm at a loss for tonight and rather frustrated. Good thing I only spent $30 instead of $180 or I would be livid. Might try to find another spring tomorrow and see if it makes a difference. If anyone else knows anything about these issues I'd love to hear from you.

That's a bummer! Even though the price is right for a clone, the V4 has so many parts I was concerned about all the problems I've been reading about leaks. People are already buying O-ring kits soon after they get their clone. So I took it in the $ss and bought an origional. It better be all it's talked up to be. Should have it Saturday.

Wow! How much money for the original, if you don't mind me asking?

I imagine it to be over $200. Plus additional tax/duty from Korean Customs.

I paid $205. Considering it was the only one I could find anywhere, I didn't mind paying $25 over msrp.
Besides a Kanger Aero tank Mega a week ago cost me $150. Not knowing any better I bought it before deciding to go to a RTA. Than again you can't have too many goodies in the stash box.

Concerning your authentic Kayfun V4, are you having any leakage issues, fluctuating Ohms, or a "Juice Control Ring" which doesn't function smoothly, etc, etc as MANY others who purchased the "cloned" version are having?

Curious to know if you really do get what you pay for, in this case.

Thanks...

Just arrived and the flavor is amazing. Even makes this garbage Butterscotch I have taste decent (still wouldn't buy it again). The only drawback I see's that it does chew through juice (like at least 5x quicker than my K1s. I think I killed around a mL of juice in an hour or so), so I will definitely need to go DIY if I want to save any cash whatsoever.

For on-the-go, I think I'll stick to my K1s. They're super portable, look snazzy on my MVP 20W, and are super cheap (inc the coils). And while a bit muted, my juices still taste good on 'em. Will be either selling or returning this Nautilus Mini. (Anyone looking? Ha) Damn this impulse control thing...
