You really can't, if you're talking about a fasttech clone, and are going with one of the more expensive ones, chances are that it will perform the same or nearly identical to the actual product. There is always the possibly of getting a tank that is dead on arrival, usually due to machining errors, but fasttech would replace it, so other than a time issue it would be well worth the investment. Chances are that you'll get a good RTA for a fraction of the price ;)

EDIT: Since it's on topic, I should let you know, I am waiting for my kayfun lite from fasttech to arrive right now :) I'm most likely going to stick to clones, just because I can't justify spending $100+ on a tank, I would for a good device like an itaste or the MVP though.

The dual coil V4 certainly looks interesting. The ability to access the build deck without draining it first would be fantastic for those of us who vape coil/wick gunking NET. The top filling and liquid flow control features (if truly functional), will be convenient and a definite step forward. As long as the chamber volume isn't much bigger than the original it could be a winner. I still like and use my lite+ and will get the V4 but not until the 3rd or 4th production run. Still waiting on the reviews.

As far as clones are concerned I've found the quality of FT clones to be quite impressive and their prices unbeatable. Only downside is the slow shipping. Of the six attys I've bought from them all have been near perfect. At $19 for the Kayfun V4, you just can't lose especially with their return policy but I'll wait for the reviews anyway. The two week shipping time doesn't bother me in the least.

Sometimes with a new item it's hard to make an educated guess as to its quality. Heck, Fasttech is up to what, like 6 versions of the V4?

IF i decide to go with a clone, I will wait a few months and see what the reviewers have to say - or just buy an original if I can ever find one in stock, lol.
