I just got mine today and I don't know from experience but I don't believe the KF4 is intended for sub-ohming (not saying don't do it just do so with caution). The main reasoning behind that I assume is the POM insulator -- If you push it too hard you will most likely begin to melt it. Unless of course you got the 4S upgrade kit with the PEEK insulator then rock on, otherwise just be mindful just how hot you're getting that thing... Then again I have a FT Derringer that I use a 0.2 build on and I've yet to melt the insulator and I highly doubt my $6 dripper has a great insulator, but I use it sparingly.
But anyway, the very first build I threw on it was twisted 28ga at around 2.5-3mm at 0.9 ohms, with the wick just making contact with the deck/juice holes. First couple hours of use have been complication free, and the flavor is fantastic.
I just got the KF4 as a backup/beater to my STMini, but I'm actually really digging it so far. My only complaint is that I like slightly more airflow, I think I'm going to buy a different RTA with more air to use the base with the KF4 body (Goblin I'm thinking). Too bad I can't do so and keep the juice control/top fill.
