Kbox issue

I really like the Kbox/subtank plus combo, been all around best functioning setup ive had so far...unfortunately its started to have this problem where when I hit the fire button it just flashes slowly 6 or 7 times and I have to remove and replace the battery cover to get it to start firing again. Anybody know or have any guesses as to why this happens besides a defective unit?

Great combo. My xtar batteries do this in my Kbox on occasion. No other battery ever causes it. So I would start by trying a different battery brand for testing.
