KBV - cooking oil taste

I just received 5 flavors from KBV and they all have the same underlying "cooking oil" taste. I wouldn't even describe it as buttery. I ordered Mama's Angel Wings, Butter Rum Pecan, V-Spot. Buttercreme Icing and OMG. The are all 12 mg and I am dripping them with my Riva 510 with a regular atty. The first one I tried was Mama's Angel Wings. I hated it. I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth or my nose. In fact, I can't even look at the bottle because it reminds me of the taste. The others have the same underlying icky taste (but not as bad) as Mama's Angel Wings. In fact, they all taste basically the same. In the V-spot I think I can taste flowers and oil together. Do I need to let them steep? Any suggestions for getting rid of that cooking oil taste? I am concerned I won't be able to vape any of them.

hmmm, I've only had angel wings from those flavors you ordered. I've never experienced the oil taste and I've had quite a few flavors. They say the juice does not need to steep so I have no idea. maybe it's the atomizer? if not, then it could be a taste preference. I've only had top quality from them (even if I wasn't a fan of the flavor). Maybe you could contact them. They're great people over there

You're sure it wasn't primer (which to me is a cooking oil like taste)?

No, not primer. I used a clean atty with each of the flavors I tried. Attys were blown out, soaked in hot water and alcohol and then cleaned a bit in a jewelry cleaner.

I have an order coming from KBV but I happen to love them. I've only tried 2 flavors and I have a returning favorite (Candy Bar) and a new one coming (Caramel Cookie). Worse comes to worse, their juices are always in high demand, you should have no problem trading or selling them, if it has to come to that.

If by any chance it does come to that, I know someone that might be interested in the butterum pecan, just saying

Sadly I don't have any suggestions or solutions, but I've also tasted that "oil" taste from KBV -- but only on *some* of their juices. I pick it up on their tobacco flavors. So far I've tried:

be oh Be's OMG - no oily taste
Momma's Angel Wings Rice Pudding - no oily taste
Mint Truffle Shuffle - no oily taste
Warm Sugar Cookie - no oily taste
Special K - oily taste
Nutty Uncle KY Tobacco - oily taste

I *thought* that since I was getting it only on the tobacco flaves that it had something to do with their tobacco blend. And maybe that's true for me, but if you're getting it on sweeter flavors, then I've got a bigger mystery

I agree with luceblueboy -- the folks at KBV are top-notch at working with their customers to solve problems. But if it's a matter of taste, which is so subjective, it could be that you'll just learn which ones to skip.

My suvgestion would be to contact them back. As long as were not talking about the buttery taste and mouthfeel that kbv and ms. T both have. It almost feels like a coating on your tongue, but id say buttery, not oily.
