I'm not here to convince anybody how great Kick Bass Vapor's juices are...I guarantee you will be able to find something you will enjoy from them. I have enjoyed about 90% of the flavors I have tried from this small shop in Missouri. But, as most of us, when you find an all-day vape, you must "cry it from the rafters;" this post will have to suffice.
I came about KBV's Jamaican Ginger Mint from an acquaintance in my local vaping club (if you don't belong to one in your region, do it...if you don't have one, start one! There's nothing like getting a chance to try a plethora of other juices at one time...just bring a napkin to "cleanse the palette" of your atty between tastes!). I chose this juice to fill the double coil carto I was given to try (another ancillary benefit!). I vaped the juice for the rest of the meeting and the rest of the night. I ignored my Backwoods Brew Malty Toffee for awhile, which speaks volumes.
Firstly, the specs: the juice was 24mg nic, 60/40 VG/PG, and with extra flavoring. All ratios are adjustable, including the VG/PG amounts. I use an OldGoat 5V Box Mod, and currently I'm direct dripping on a Bauway 2.5 Ohm 510 atty with an anodized aluminum drip tip, both from MadVapes.
Secondly, the ratings:
Flavor (5/5): The taste of this juice is insane! The most prevalent taste is the cane sugar flavor, with a nice hint of peppermint (which also helps with TH...more about this next). The ginger is subdued, but is there for the tasting, and helps to give a complexity to the overall experience. Additionally, I find the juice tastes just as great right out of the mailbox...just how I want my juice. I'm way too impatient to wait. But I did get a two-month old bottle to hang on to from the same acquaintance (she wasn't as impressed as I was...YMMV is always in effect in the juice world). This is a non-tobacco juice.
Throat Hit (3.5/5): This is something that's important to me, and is one of the biggest reasons for me using a 5V mod and a 24mg juice. With that stated, without the mint the TH would be pretty subdued. I've also found as long as you keep the juice well mixed with a couple of shakes both flavor and TH stay pretty consistent. The TH does tend to die off before the flavor when direct dripping, so, depending on what's more important to you, you might end up using more/less juice.
Vapor Production (5/5): I'm used to 100% VG juices (being a big Alien Visions' Boba's Bounty nut), so vapor production has always been a satisfying part of vaping for me. There's just something about getting that great report from a juice upon exhaling. Being a 60/40 VG/PG juice, you would expect something less-than-100% VG...but that just hasn't been the case. I sometimes feel like I exhale for much longer than I inhale. Definitely a good ring blowin' juice (now if I could only do that...oh well).
Customer Service/Delivery (4/5): The only complaint I have concerning KBV is I can't order my juices from them without putting a reminder on a calendar: typically, KBV only allows orders from their site on Tuesdays and Fridays; the rest of the week the site will not allow you to order. They do this for the best of reasons (quality control and timely order fulfillment), but sometimes (yeah right...everytime) you just want to order now, now, now! I just make sure to order a good amount...say, 60 ml, and I'm good for a very long while. Ordered the juice on a Tuesday and was vaping it on Saturday....great turnaround, and very well packaged.
THE VERDICT: 4.4/5 This juice, at the very least, is worth a try especially if you like minty juices. It certainly makes a wonderful all-day vape, and I think it's different enough to enjoy in rotation with stronger flavors. I switch between this juice and Boba's Bounty, and it certainly makes me a happy camper. Once again, YMMV...but Jamaican Ginger Mint and KBV should be on your "to try" list.
HAPPY VAPING, AND THANKS FOR READING!
