So I get a new liquid in the mail today I set it on the end table to make dinner. I'm in there for maybe 10 mins cooking when I realize that it's there and I need to move it...I then look over at my 8 month old cocker and he's breathless with foam coming out of his mouth. This kind of thoughtless mistake will needless to say stick on me for a long time.

Yeah he died in front of my wife and son it was horrible that they had to see that..it was there for maybe 10 minutes he was still a puppy so he got into everything..I feel that this could have been prevented if I had put it in the normal place I keep them all.
Oh, I am so so sorry for you and your family. That is such a sad story, especially having to witness it. I hope that everyone with animals will learn this lesson from your loss.

I am very very sorry, your loss is my pain, I am an avid "spca" adovocate, but do not blame yourself, it was unintentional.........please, get another puppy to quell your grief, I have had 8 dear "friend" dogs pass and every one was different, but I always got another........my favorite shirt reads "THE MORE PEOPLE I MEET, THE MORE I LOVE MY DOG" or any pet. dont beat yourself up......you, are only a human! again, im so sorry.
Oh my god. I am soo sorry to hear this. I hope your wife and kid(s) are okay. Please don't beat yourself up over this. It was obviously a mistake. I don't know what else I can say. I am so, so sorry for your family's loss.

Yikes, I am sorry to hear this as well. I have a 6 mos. old mini dachshund that one day had a bottle of juice in his mouth. Thank goodness he was unable to open or crack it. Since then, I have been very very careful with my juice bottles.

Thank's everyone for your Support. I won't be getting another dog for a long time...This one was a one of a kind for our family. We have had many dogs in the past..None them had the personality of this one. Will deal with this day by day and with time it will be fine. Thank's again for all the support.
They've learnt the lesson the hard way, why do they have to be finding someone to blame? Anyway, I'm sure no matter what you tell them in words the pain inside them will be hurting enough.
