I vaped on my nautilus mini for two weeks and I only had to change the coil once. Today I had to change the coil and I've been getting dry hits ever since! I've tried 4 coils today and they all gave me a dry hit. I am priming it and let it sit for 30 mins after I fill the tank. I use 15.9W but lower wattage gives the same problem. My juice is 100% VG and I know VG burns the coil quicker but this is just not right. I can't keep wasting $4 on every coil not to mention I can't even vape! Now I have only one coil left and i'm not sure what to do.

It takes at least 5 drops usually closer to 10 drops of liquid on top of the screen to properly prime a bvc head. Then take a few un powered primer puffs & let it sit a few minutes.
Always start a new head off at a reduced power level (like 8 -9w for at least the first half tank) to prevent burning & ensure it is wicking properly before turning the power up.
If it is wicking you will see bubbles rise from the wicking holes, if no bubbles it will burn, every time.

I know several that vape high% vg liquids without issue on nautilus with bvc heads.
You can add DW to thin Vg if necessary.

Add some distilled water. Max VG juice is way too thick to wick properly with the Nautilus. Thin the juice out with a bit of distilled water and it should work fine.

Although at this point you may need to buy new coils. If you've scorched the cotton then nothing will ever taste right through them again.

Has anyone that suggested DW actually tried DW vs Saline?
DW has a tremendous TH (not in a good way). Saline is so much smoother.
I use saline in both of my Max VG mixes because I'm PG intolerant.

7-10% saline (or DW if that's all your local CVS has) will make Max VG (90%+) an equivalent viscosity to 50/50 - 60VG or so. :2c:

I use Addipak 5ml vials. Box of 100 should be <$20/shipped.
Careful, some try to sell 3ml vials for the same price.

I would never use saline in an ecig. Saline is salt, and salt water does really bad things to kanthal.

Kanthal in tap water on the left, kathal in saline solution on the right.

That's a good point that I didn't even consider.
.9% saline X 7% in my final mix = 6.3% saline
That might oxidize my coils over the course of a few weeks/months.
I'd still rather enjoy every hit I take and toss my coils a week earlier than not enjoy vaping :2c:

Question for those using DW to cut their e-liquids:

How does it affect the cloud production and flavor? I have one I do not have a problem with Tropical Fruit but it is 80% VG and at times it is bit much which I compensate for my turning down the wattage. I am wondering if I was to cut it a little bit how will this affect it? Sure I can do trial and error just trying to gain some insight before I experiment. Thanks in Advance! :vapor: :thumb: :nah: /

Where did your coils come from?My mom got some coils online and the wicking holes were much smaller than the ones we get at our local vape shop.

Medically speaking.... I am unsure if this would be advisable and would encourage you to talk to your doctor and do some research.
