hey there :) so i make my own e juice and i have been keeping the plastic dripper bottles for pretty much the entire day since i work at home and im constantly dripping lol.

My concern was , will this de-grade the quality of my juice ? I jave noticed the flavour has muted a little since i first tried it but it might be vapors tongue (since i am vaping all day pretty much)

    Two scenarios;

    1.) an open bottle will let the essence of the flavors evaporate.

    2.) a lot of folks say that if their flavors are over 20%, the flavor will deteriorate more rapidly.

    I don't really know why, but I do think 20% might be too much.

    Heat and sunlight are what you want to avoid (can never understand how some people heat DIY juice to promote 'steeping').
    In my experience leaving a bottle open for a day will not degrade the flavour. I accidently left a (sealed) bottle in sunlight for a week and the result was dramatic - very little flavour.

    I change flavors anywhere from 4 to 6 times a day and sometimes it does prevent Vapers Tongue but the suggestions I made do work for me. Thank goodness I like my Tobaccos because when Vapers tongue hits it is the only thing I can vape! Next time I am going to mix up some unflavored to see how that works out.

    Under normal conditions it takes months for juice to oxidize to the point it effects flavor so no worries about leaving the tip cap off. Excess heat and sunlight will expedite oxidation so keep that in mind. During my first year of vaping I suffered vapor's tongue several times, two of those times I couldn't taste anything for days. I eventually learned to rotate several -distinctly different- flavors of juice throughout the day/week and never suffered again. After a year or two vapor's tongue ceased being a problem at all but even to this day I lose the ability to taste certain flavors (like vanilla) after a single tankful. Vanilla tobacco (NET) is my favorite juice but I can only enjoy it twice a week.

    I leave my bottle in the basement open all the time, it doesn't degrade at all. I also leave one on the back porch but not open. It gets sun baked a hour or two a day. It turns darker over the course of the summer but it still always tastes great. My opinion is some juice gets better with age, creating a different taste but still excellent. Right up but not after the point of it turning bad, then there is no going back to good.

    you can become desenstized to juice flavours.. happens with anything you taste a lot.

    I think this is true except with Old World deep dish pepperoni and sausage pizza, which just tastes awesome all the time. The only problem is that it is so good, you feel like you cheated on your spouse a little bit because no matter how good your spouse is, Old World pizza is better. Yeah, its that good.
