Hi all, newbie to vaping here. I have had my Riva 510 for about a week and have cut down considerably on my cig smoking and am hoping to be analog free by this weekend. I have tried many other ways to quit smoking and none of them have worked for me so I am really hoping that this is finally my time to win. I look forward to seeing everyone around the boards.

Welcome to ECF Carrie! You've come to the right spot, and you've made a great decision on your first piece of gear. I will be a year smoke free in Nov because of ecigs, and with a little patience and dedication, I'm sure you'll put the analogs down. It's really a pretty painless transition, just have extra parts and juice so you never have to run to the store and grab a pack. Another quick bit of advice, when you do lay the cigs down for good, don't be afraid to up your nicotine level on your ejuice for a while. That first week can be a bit of a pain, but you'll basically still be smoking(going through the motions) by using your ecig. Don't beat yourself up about quitting right away. Some folks do it the day they get their gear, others a week or two after, while others still struggle with it. Congrats on already smoking less, and good luck on quitting. Any questions?

OK
It should work for you. I quit after I got my Joye 510 kit, and I smoked for 55 plus years. Good Luck to You.

Yeah, look at Banjo's signature... only 109 days and passed on 4,383 analogs. When you start thinking about it like that... you are like... holy cow.

Edit: And what uba said... Personally I still use analogs, but cut to 1/2 a pack from 1.5 Plus...so down 1 pack every day... 20 times 100 days = 2,000 basically every 3 months. Still a LOT less...

Hey CarrieM!

I am new to vaping as well and the only way I got off the analogs was to grab the ecig. I have the Yeti 510 and love it. I can't believe I have not had a analog in 4 days, it's totally awesome (smoked for 27 years!). I introduced the ecig to my best friend and she introduced to her mom and both are waiting their orders now...I can't wait to see how it works for them.

You can do this, think positive and it is possible with the ecig!!! It is so much better then 4000 chemicals in analogs!!!

Good Luck!!!

Welcome Carrie, I am new also, as is my wife, 3 wks for me 2 for her. I carried a pack of smokes in my truck for a week just in case, but never needed them. But that was me everyone has their own time frame. In fact we still have 2 full cartons of analogs just sitting in the house, will be giving them away sometime. Best of luck

CarrieM...welcome.
I got my ecig 14 days ago and stopped analogs as soon as I charged the batteries. To help separate you from the analog, try adjusting your nic level (whether you have pre-filled carts or juice). I started with 16mg pre-filled carts and moved over to 18mg juice. I have been trying many flavors too to find the ones I love. Its a process, yes, but one that will help you from ingesting all that crap in an analog.....Living in NYC, it was a bit easier to stop because analogs here are now $12.25 - $13 a pack. Good luck, stay strong and determined...be healthy!

Welcome Carrie! And awesome on no analogs in several days! I quit as soon as my batteries were charged after smoking for 27yrs. I still can't believe I quit, started thinking it just wasn't possible. The right juice is the key. I'm loving my waffle and snickerdoodle! When I first got to this forum and saw the crazy things people were vaping I thought I could never vape anything but tobacco flavor, but after espresso...well, my cigs never tasted this good!
