So, I started about a year ago with a 12mg and only about around January did I have to drop down to 6mg due to headaches caused by too much nicotine.

Past couple days, I swear I am experiencing the same effect that 12mg had on me....

Quite frankly i've always loved nic. Loved smoking and loved smoking hookah. I want to keep vaping with nicotine and not be a 0mg vaper, itd be useless to me.

Any ideas? I don't want to pick up the stinkies for a few months just to build a tolerance....

If you don't DIY, then next time you buy liquid ask for a "flavor shot". Buy some PG or VG and dilute down to less than 6. If they do not offer the extra flavor, then buy some zero and some 6 and add them together to get to whatever range you need.

Or just vape the zero when you chain vape, and when you need a little nic vape the 6.

Hope that helps you.

I don't get it. Why would 0mg be useless to you? You don't like vaping? And why would you smoke if nic gives you a headache?

I love vaping, but if I were vaping at 0mg, itd be useless to vape for me, i'd feel like the kids I see all over who vape because they think it's cool.

Are you using a RBA? I ask that is because using low ohm coils on RBA's tend to feel like double the amount of nicotine the bottle says. I was fine before with 12mg in carto tanks but after using RBA's, it is too much for me to handle which makes me step down my nic level.

Precisely this... triple-twisted 32awg at a reading of 0.6Ω. This could be the reason, the plumes of vapor I produce are three times more than a cig, looks like i'm vaping a fog machine.

Drink more water ;)

Oh trust me, I drink cups and cups of it throughout the day.

Steeljan (youtube videos.. check em out) and many others vape 0 nicotine because they enjoy vaping... period. And not everyone starts vaping because they first smoked nor because its "cool." Two examples are dieters and diabetics. I vape zero nic often and hope to eliminated all nic eventually but certainly not vaping. I enjoy it too much. I also drink decaf because I enjoy the taste of coffee/tea/pop but not the affects of caffeine. I also have the occasional glass of NA wine because I enjoy it but not the affects of alcohol. I'm way past trying to look "cool" or doing most anything to impress others. I do what makes me happy. And, please tell me, just who would know if there was nic in what you're vaping unless you tell them? And why would you tell them?

True points on all cases... I must admit, I am a younger guy who knew about vaping since 2008, but never got into it till last Feb. I've run into a lot of younger people around my age who, when I pulled out my ProVari or Roller to take a few draws, pulled out eGo's and after a while told me they never smoked prior to vaping. For some reason it bothered me. I guess it came down to the FDA's argument that vaping encourages smoking and it made me kind of wonder. However was more disgusted at people who did things because they thought it was cool.

But I guess it is true on the point of why should they know if my juice was nicotine infused or not.

Although, I vape because I like the feeling that a nicotine buzz delivers. I would just be sad to vape and not get that kick I crave. Thus my point in saying that it'd be useless (to me) if I was vaping just for the "feeling" of smoking and not get a buzz off it.

How much exactly is "cups and cups"? I've not been vaping long, but if I don't drink at least 3 liters of water a day I get a pounding headache.

I could see nic overdose on 12mg if one is chain vaping at that level all day. I certainly have done it on accident at 22mg (though no headache just a bit of nausea), but at 6 unless your tolerance for nic had suddenly and unexpectedly dropped for no apparent reason sounds incredibly strange.

Add to that the time of year...I noticed that my seasonal allergies are much worse this year than ever before--probably because I can actually breath in the allergens. This is also a possibility if you have seasonal allergies, as a sinus headache can be mistaken for a tension headache if the symptoms are more generalized, or in combination with a dehydration headache.

If you wear glasses or other corrective lenses your prescription may have changed. Likewise eye strain, if you sit at a computer all day at work can cause a headache too. There is also the possibility that the headaches are triggered by some other factor. For example if someone is used to drinking caffeine in the afternoon (like having a afternoon coffee/tea/coke) that can trigger a headache. My mother who has never smoked or vaped had such a problem when she decided to quit drinking cokes--she would have headaches for several months due to caffeine withdraws in the afternoon. It should be noted that she drank at least 1 coke in the afternoon for about 40 years (probably longer).

Please note I am not a doctor and if your headaches get worse or not checking these common types of causes yield no results that you should consult a physician.

I'd say about 2L a day at least... Could be allergies though. My prescription (glasses) are only about 6 months old.

On the flipside, headaches are totally random now, I can vape all day sometimes and then other times, it's one draw and instant headache, so odd.

I to vape 0 NIC I started on Champix and vaping 0nic made a BIG difference for me ! I missed the hand to mouth habit inhaling and exhaling the smoke. I'm off Champix now and still vaping, been smoke free now for 3 1/2 months. I still have my trusty e-cig at 0 nic so can make a difference it did for me. I enjoy vaping just don't want to go back to being addicted to the NIC :vapor:

This whole " buzz " you speak of is what gets the kids hooked to start with, just as a smokes would. I feel its not a very good reson as it wears off after awhile. So like a smoker or vaper you want more and more NIC for this " buzz " and is when most get headaches. All so run the risk of over dosing on NIC. Thats my :2c:

I used to get nic headaches for the first 2 years of vaping. It got to the point that I was unsure if ecigs were going to work for me. The way I solved this problem was to start substituting approx 20% of the straight nic that goes into a recipe with wta nic. I would use a higher percentage, but the cost is so much higher for wta and this porportion has worked very well. So if a recipe calls for 10ml nic, 8ml would be straight nic and 2 ml would be wta nic. Hope this helps

I would say to up your water intake to at least 3L a day. I will probably have to do 5L this summer. I live in Florida and it is hot and humid most of the year (and summer runs from mid-April to November) so that means I'll be taking my exercise in what amounts to sauna.

I would suspect allergies as the first cause particularly if a sinus pill clears the issue up easily. With me this time of year is particularly bad due to pine and oak pollen. I can really only be outside after a rain.

You may want to have your eyes checked anyway, I've had prescriptions last me for years, and others change in months. And depending on your job, eye strain can be a problem. I find that if I spend a good deal of time in front of a computer I get a headache from eye strain. Particularly from websites that have a white background.

Sometimes eliminating a toxin by changing your diet will give you headaches. Like caffeine. Very hard to quit cold turkey due to massive long term headache...like 3 days. There are lots of reasons for headaches and I'm not real sure your nicotine is causing them.
I would have to say that if he is chain vaping that RBA at .6 ohms he needs to cut down the nic.
