Right, so im sure most of us here has od-ed on nic sometime during vaping. Took me a while to realize that it was happening (headache and nausea), but how bad is it really? The other day something weird happened, im not sure if it was entirely due to the nicotine, but i had this weird sensation in my head, like my brain was being slightly compressed or something. There was this slight feeling of pressure at the area behind my forehead/nose but no pain or anything.

I googled it, and found that its not uncommon and it could be a sinus/tension headache due to stress and other stuff, but the thing is it never happened to me before (before i started vaping).

What do you guys think? Currently im only vaping 12mg and it takes a while for the nic to take effect (I used to be a 1 pack 2 days kinda smoker)

Read a few articles about how nicotine can cause stroke and heart problems, even by itself, unaccompanied by the 4000 other chemicals from tobacco smoke. Do u guys think this is something i should check out or be concerned about?

I am not trying to belittle your concern but with the onset of spring it could just be allergies. My mom smoked forever then a week after she quit (cold turkey) she developed allergies. Apparently she never noticed when she was smoking or her body became more sensitive to other irritants since it was no longer being bombarded by the pollutants from smoking.

Vaping gives you nicotine without the other 4000 chemicals you got from cigarette smoke. Nicotine itself isn't so much a health issue. Nic patches are prescribed for quitters as well as for mental alertness in patients who have memory lapses, as in Alzheimer's. It is classified to be about the same as caffeine in terms of health.

Dizziness and headache, cold sweats for short periods, and ringing ears are the usual symptoms of an OD on nicotine. Back off on the nic percentage in your juice if that happens. You will learn to recognize the early onset of symptoms and slow down. I'd cut the nic percentage in half and try again. Adjust from there to find the right mix. You also may be vaping too frequently. Try putting it down, walking off, and waiting for the nic urge before vaping again.

its pretty common to get a sinus infection after quitting smokes, think it has something to do with some of the small sinus cavity unclogging from all the smokes you were using before, it highly unlikely that it is Nic related considering you have been taking Nic and sever thousand other toxins in from smokes for who knows how long, and also you are only using 12mg nic which is much lower then what you were getting from a pack or two a day of analogs.

i also agree with above could easily be the onset of spring i had never had any allergy what so ever until i quit smoking,i guess having my lungs and sinuses coated in tar was good for one thing..keeping the pollen from irritating me lol.
ether way i should pass soon but if not or gets worst it never hurts to go see your DR.

Thanks guys for all the advice. It hasn't happened since, and i dont chain vape as often. Unfortunately where i come from i can't approach any Doc with questions about vaping if you get my drift.

On a side note, do any of you also experience crazy ... dreams which u vividly remember after vaping before hitting the bed?

I've heard that nicotine is a vaso-constrictor (constricts your blood vessels) which isn't good but vaping doesn't have the tar and carcinogens etc that smoking does. You'd still have the vaso-constriction with smoking, but you'd also have the cancer and emphysema to worry about.

As for the crazy dreams, I've not had any crazy dreams, or certainly not as bad as when on the patches (I'm very vocal about my dreams of being chased by the cast of House...*sigh*). Could it be worth having some lower nic juice for the couple of hours before bedtime? When I first started out, I had 24mg on a morning followed by 18mg the rest of the day. After a couple of weeks, the 24mg was too high and I was 18mg all day. Soon, I realised I wasn't sleeping as well and lowered my nic to 11mg at night and then was using that all day too. Try dropping to 6mg or so as the day wears on. Have your higher nic on hand incase its too low but it might help with the dreams and sleeping better?x

never had any dream issues and vape in bed each night before passing out, its pretty common to be a bit paranoid when switching to something new but considering you are not taking anything into yourself that you haven't been for years with smoking and in truth you are taking in much much less.

you are probably just feeling the side effects of your body getting used to not having all those poisons raising through you body, and the dreams are likely from the lack on MAOI's in your system now, analogs have like 5 of them that your body was used to now you have none so you will still experience some withdrawal symptoms like paranoia, sleeplessness, nerves, hunger etc this will pass in a few weeks/months depending on your body.

Yup thats why im a lil concerned, it doesn't remove the risk of strokes or heart related diseases. Guess will have to control the amount of vaping the way i did with analogs. Thanks for the advice again guys, probably need to get used to the changes in switching over.
