congratulations on your prime! what build have you put and hows it vaping?
Thanks for the positive post :)
To answer your question I love to tinker and have tried everything from a 4mm ID down to the current 2mm ID all in 26G or 30G 316L stainless steel.
This is my first MTL device and I was using my sub-ohm'ing mentality of bigger is better, trying to chase the famous kayfun flavour I just paid $200 for! So I had a look at old YouTube reviews of other mtl tanks and realized just how small coils can be made and still vape well. I need to use a lot of wraps on the coil to keep the ohm value where it works well in TC mode on my Mod. if I was using power mode then a same value kanthal coil would be a much shorter. what do you use?
It is by far the most sensible and enjoyable atomiser I have owned, it vapes superbly, very happy I changed to MTL.

i use 26g kanthal or ni wires. i get the higher ohms from them over ss. usually 2.5mm id. just tried a 2mm build. ends were a little thin so i had to add some wick. flavor seemed to turn out even better. not sure if its the id or because i raised the coil a bit, instead of straight out from the posts. current build is 2mm id with 9 wraps 26g ni. came out to .85ohms.

Thank you for the photo. That's certainly a whopper! Notice how the wraps on the end of the right side are black when the wraps toward the middle aren't.
Whopper? I'll add a pick to show you why your statement confuses me! I built a fresh coil just for you, its the one in the middle, its between a (2.5 mm ID 26G 7 wrap coil that many people recommend) and very modest (2.5mm Id 4 wrap Clapton coil) PLEASE SHOW ME YOUR APPROPRIATE BUILD on a kayfun prime. thx

What's your preference between ni and kanthal?

The important thing is that you are happy with your vape. I was trying to be helpful.

My own preference is 7 slightly spaced wraps of 30 gauge 316L. All of the wraps fit over the air slot. I vape at 8 -12 W. I use temperature control at 420 degrees on both an Aspire NX75-A and a Lost Vape Mirage (DNA 75C).

Personal preferences vary. Some folks prefer thicker wire and warmer vape. 28 gauge is popular and probably more common than the 30 gauge that I use.

My build is similar to what is shown in the Kayfun Prime manual from the Svoemesto website.

One of the authorized dealers recommends:
"Recommended Build: Vapes by Enushi recommends coils that are 2.0 to 2.5mm in diameter, 28 gauge Kanthal, spaced coils between 4 to 7 wraps for standard wattage vaping at 10 to 18 Watts."

Use to see similiar builds (maybe not quite 16 wraps, but close) when micro coils first appeared, but that's when they were true micros. Back then 1.4 to 1.6 mm ID were the norm and they kicked ..... In the prime however, I do think less wraps work a bit better, but it's cool to see those old, high resistance coils again
