So, I got a Kgo; because although I loved the volt, I knew very quickly I would require something bigger for work and home use. So I got a kgo kit, DCT tank, and some extra carto's. Tried the tank first, it simply would not wick, Burned it up quickly. Next I went to the cartos. These where horribe. Little taste, poor vape, and clogged on most any juice. I was becoming very disappointed with the purchase, and wondering if I was doing something wrong. Then I noticed a little bag with 5 cartomizers in it. I didn't realize, that I got 5 carts with the kit, and thought I had been using the smoketec LR I ordered.

What a difference. Why would they give such crappy carto's for your first impression of their product.

I don't know why they include such crappy cartos, but they do. The Smok-Tech are a WHOLE different experience, aren't they? Glad you figured that out. I put the kit ones away to use for emergencies only (i.e., if I'm stupid and let myself run out of the Smok-Tech ones).

I'm gonna try the Boge 2.0 cartos one of these days and see how they compare.

By the way, I can tell the difference between the Smok-Tech and the kit cartos by sight because the Smok-Tech have a silver battery connector end on them and the kit ones have a brass-colored end.

Hahaha...Sorry, I have to chuckle at that. To answer the question...

Back in the old days, when wearing an onion on your belt was the fashion of the day, those little carts were all there was. The Chinese manufacturers produced 400,000,000,000 of them. Then, they were caught by surprise when cartomizers were invented. Now, they have 340,000,000,000 of them left that they can't get rid of. So they dump them on the rest of the world by sticking them in every box that leaves the country. (I think I got some in a box of shoes once) The vendors don't have time to go through each box and throw them away, like they should. So, they just leave it to you.

BTW, your DCT probably came with dual coil cartos. Do yourself a favor and get single coil cartos. Make sure the hole is big enough, or get the ones with 2 holes. Dual coils need about 4.5 volts or more before they can produce anything but a bunch of cold fog. So, you didn't miss anything by burning one out. A 1.7ohm carto will work very nicely in that tank.

You should post a pic of your tank on the Kgo. I have been considering this set up for a friend but don't know how it will look. I was thinking that the 3 ml smoke tech tank may be a good option and look good together with the Kgo.

Here's the tank for a kGo. Special DCT tank just for egos and kgos and such.

I've been watching some YouTube reviews on cartos. The Smok-tech XL Single coil LR 1.7 ohm 510 cartos, I think they are called "Resurrectors". I think are the way to go. Next payday I'm going to order those in stainless steel along with a "J Tank"....at least I think that combination will work. ??? I dont know, there is simply too much out there to get. LOL

Nice, sailorman. Love those tanks! Ordering one now. :p
Aceclassic - Since I've gotten better w/ filling them and punching holes in the cartos for straight vg, I've been using my DCT's a lot more. I have a kGo as well and I have to say it was my first kit (this time around) and among the other mods I've bought, it's my favorite. Finding the right carto was a must and while I didn't understand the ohms at first, I learned by what actually vaped the best and not some chart.
They say the Boge 2.0 LR are good but I personally don't like the airy draw I get from them on my kGo. Maybe it's the juice, since your pg/vg ration will also affect how the draw is. The Resurrectors are by FAR my favorite - on it's own or in a tank. They're all I use in the tanks.

The DCT and dual coil carto's really shine at voltages higher than the KGO can go to. Why vendors sell the 2 together is beyond me. I like the dcc's at 6V...they provide everything I want in a good vape. However, using them below 5V, they're terrible. You're better off with a Boge 2ohm on the KGO...better flavor/vapor/TH at lower voltages.
