A little over a year ago I got 2 of the KGO 1100mah kits by SLB and an EGO vision clearomizer from Hoosier. I used them sporadically for about 4 weeks but 3 of the batteries would no longer hold a charge. Then I got busy with life and stayed on the stinkies. A few months ago I began trying again but tried disposables. I quickly discovered that Blu and njoy are really poor, they don't last at all. I tried White Cloud and they are much better, but still not economical in the long run. I am happy with juices I can get at local vendors and I have no reason to think the clearomizer is a problem.

So, the question is where and or what battery should I be looking for? Or am I on the wrong track? Just get a new rig? Dependable all day (17 hour) use is the goal. I don't much care about looks, but need portable. Perhaps I am wrong about the White Cloud. $3 a stick isn't bad but I rarely put it down.

The Shark was recommended by a friend and it seems that if I could replace the battery in my current rig I would be OK, but it is sealed and the Shark is not. Before I dump another Franklin into this I thought I should ask here.

Thanks

A mod with a 18650 battery would likely be your best bet for longevity, 17 hours would probably mean carrying one spare battery.

Something like a K100 / K101 is a simple cheap mechanical mod, get a couple good quality IMR 18650 batteries and a good charger, still be way under $100. Then the search for the carto / clearo and perfect juice for your tastes would begin. That's where the cost could rise a bit, go slow and research first and the cost can be contained...

Thanks for the reply.
That is almost what I did. I now have an eGO variable volt/watt APV. I have the extension with [1] 18650 and [2] 18350, and the KangerTech Protank-II, Trustfire charger. I decided not to worry too much about cost because compared to my stinkies it really isn't expensive. So far I am loving it. More than double the vapor and consistent.

Probably could have gotten it cheaper but I went to a local shop so I could talk to the guy, and touch/play with it before buying.

So, this morning I decided to trash the old KGO 1100mah batteries. But I am a cheap guy so I try it again, and it works! I have been using one of the 3 bad ones about 5 hours now, have not tried the other 2. I can only conclude that the charger light is faulty, but I am a noob so it can't hurt to ask for thoughts. It has to be over a year since I tried to charge them, and though I do not remember details, I do remember I was certain they would not charge and were toast. Possible explanations?

Sure do like the Vamo and I was going to get a backup something, but I suppose my KGO is gonna stay.
