Hi guys, im seeking some advice as this is the first kit ive bought.
Up until now both batteries have been working fine, but now suddenly one of the batteries is blinking blue when i attach it to the vivi nova tank.
Like i said it worked fine until this latest charge, and when i put the fully charged battery onto the tank it vapes for about 1.5 seconds and then blinks blue.

When i detach it from the tank, it works just fine, no blinking. I tried it on my 2nd tank which i have, still blinking. Both tanks work fine with the other battery.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Thanks in advance

seen this a lot lately with the nova, first the light means its not making proper contact, most people will get a paper clip or small screwdriver and pull up lightly on the post inside the battery head. got tired of that as I have 3 batts and one keeps doing it.
i took a small screwdriver and screwed the post out a little on the bottom of the nova, i tried this twice one tank worked fine after this the other one didnt seem to move much.

Edit thats funny,, after rereading the title it is also only my Kgo that does(did) this. the post trick worked for me. your mileage may vary

Tried wedging the post up and also cleaning the battery connector, but to no avail, still blinking. There doesnt seem to be anything i can move on the nova, and i kinda dont want to touch the tank as it still works perfectly with the other battery.
Do you have any other suggestions?

Also if i need a replacement battery, do you have a recommended one for me which will fit?

Thanks again

hi gib, have you tried cleaning all conections, with some tissue paper ? start by rolling some tissue between your finger and thumb, and push it into the connection end of the battery then twist it round to clean any debris you may have in there. also just wipe the threads on your vivi, and see if this helps. also nova is a 510 connection,so majority of batteries will work fine

I have KGO's and use Nova tanks, If I read you correctly it is only one battery that is doing this with both your tanks? If that is correct then it is that battery that is the problem. I had this with one of mine and slightly raising the center post on the battery fixed it for me.

Also if you have just charged this battery while the post was down, it may not be charged even if the light went green.

ive seen that alot and its usually a poor connection, i use a dental pick and check the bottom contact of the tank and also double check the battery post, im not sure with the Kgo but ive seen on some Ego style batts where it needed to be brought up a touch, also be careful prying at the batts, there are solder connections under the plate (again not sure with the Kgo) and they are fragile and can break then you are in a bad spot with a completely non working batt (also could be a defect batt)... also in addition to what ive said when you put the tank on the batts be careful there is no reason to he-man the carts on the batt as that can push the connections and kind of "crush" them down so that they need to be pulled out some.... Good luck with the batts

I've only had problems with my KGO Battery (only have one), not fiering a lot of times I push the button, turning off so I have to turn it back on by pushing five times on the button and lasting me a very short time after I charge it, compared to my other vv's. I also use a Vivi Nova, but other things as well and it does it with every single one. I think mine must have been defective from the start....

thanks terry, still didnt work. i guess i need a replacement 2nd battery.
What is one that people highly recommend for a 510? im reading about the ego twist?

The eGo Twist is a great choice for a replacement battery. Just keep in mind that the 1100mah Twist is about an inch longer than the KGO. The 650mah Twist is the same size as the KGO. You can even use the KGO charger for the Twists.
If I were you, I would get at least 2 backup batteries.

gotcha thanks for the help

Also if you have just charged this battery while the post was down, it may not be charged even if the light went green.

This was EXACTLY the problem! after i had adjusted the post i plugged it back into the charger, and it was red!
you guys are the best, still im getting backup batteries now i dont want to be caught again lol

I suggest the vv Vision Spinner for a second or replacement battery. (Okay, in my case for a seventh backup but I was a heavy smoker..don't want to be stuck without one!) It's the same idea as the Twist but is MUCH easier to see the markings on to adjust voltage, and I have found that with the Twist it's very easy to accidentally move your settings, while the spinner seems to stay put. A 1300 mah Vision Spinner is a tiny bit fatter than the kgo, and a little longer than the Kgo (but not as long as the 1100 mah Twist) I didn't see if you had the vv Kgo or the standard one..if you have the standard with the screw in charger you can also charge a Spinner or a Twist on it. If you have a vv you would need an ego charger for either the Twist or the Spinner. Variable Voltage is a nice thing to have, too and both the Twist and Spinner are good introductions to vv. =) If you got your Kgo where I did..I am still newish and not sure if I am supposed to mention suppliers but he's reliable, dependable and in Indiana..they also now carry the 1300 mah Vision Spinner for 24.99 and there is a coupon code you can use for another 5% off. Whatever you do, good luck and yay! on getting it to work.
