kgo dual coil w/ Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizers

So i just got my Kgo today and mind you i switched over from blu, so i never have actually filled my own carts before...

I'd like to point out that it is a Kgo using an 1100mah batt and the carts are 1.5ohm resist

I got my cartomizer filled right, or so i thought, and let it sit for roughly 45 minutes.  I have been trying to use it now for about 30+ minutes and i'm getting nothing but extremely harsh hits with what seems like little vapor production (possibly because i am unable to take monster hits with this beast yet)

I am using 24mg 70/30 pg/vg eliquid from sweet-vapes.com (currently the peach mango) - I did overfill it a little bit with this attempt for certain (but not by much, there is definitely less than 4ml of liquid that was attempted to be put in, and i'd wager it's got currently about 3.5ml)

As a control i have filled another cartomizer with the very vanilla flavoring and am letting that one sit as we speak.
I wont know if it's just the flavoring possibly until this one sits for... oh another 20 minutes minimum (i'm probably going to let it sit for at least 45 total... so probably another 35 minutes).



Is it as simple as the fresh cartomizer needing to be broken in longer? (30+ minutes of attempted use is a lot to deal with harshness!) or did I do a big no no by overfilling a little (which i cant see being the case, because i noted people actually flooding it with the 5ml advertised! and still having better results)


Tips/Advice are are greatly sought after right now guys - Even something like "yeah you effed up getting that KGo"


Help me!!! I was so excited, and now i'm fairly bummed :/

I did put this in the ask the vets but i noted directly after that it may take a few days and not to post things that are time critical....

This for me is time critical, so i apologize if a mod disagrees with me... but i figure i can get some discussion results here as well as a pro-tip or two a bit quicker (and finally get my pure vet response later)

Sounds to me like it might be flooded..try blowing some juice out of it..If it is not flooded may have 1 bad coil..

I did blow through it fairly extensively - but what your saying is that flooding will cause that extremely harsh throat hit? and when i say extremely harsh I mean to the point where it's almost nauseating --- i don't actually have a cough response to harsh vapor/smoke --- oh i would also like to point out that there's little to no flavor that i can taste

When i blow through it do i want to blow like i'm trying to put out 100 birthday candles or like a gentle breeze type deal

I just noticed this ring around the cart i grabbed first... the only one with that ring, assuming it's a defect - but i cant be certain i'm going to test my vanilla cart shortly to find out if that one works better

oh, the steamy look inside is from me blowing through it obv... And the part im referring to is near the bottom

Looks like you may have a dud there..but you blow like you are blowing out a candle..Something does not look right with that carto to me..

I did have one that did that and I took it apart and one of the coils was bad and only firing on one..never got that one to work..

update, i am currently using the vanilla flavor cart and it is MUCH better as far as taste and throat hit goes... it's still a little harsh imo ... but that may just be my throat burning from the first one still and my lack of tolerance for it just yet
