kgo shorting?

hi. i got a kgo kit about 1 month ago and both of them died already. the company is sending me new ones in the mail. i have been using the vivi nova v2 and the EGO Vision clearomizers 2.1-2.4ohm
Color: Clear(Long Wick)

on them ( sorry about the funky formatting thing. lol ) .. would either one of these 2 things short out the kgo batteries?

I have a KGO and one battery stopped working. I gently popped up the centre post on the battery and its working great again. It was only a very small amount I moved it.

i did tried the center post thing a couple times and it did work.. but now, they stopped working completely.

i did use an 808-510 adapter during this time too. maybe that shorted them out? idk.. but the weird thing is they worked even after the adapter, even after the vivi nova or clearos.. its like they just stopped working. the light still comes on one of the kgo's, but the other one, nothing. maybe the charger? thats new too..

idk, maybe i just got a couple of kgo duds. .

Don't suppose you have a spare charger? Maybe the batteries, maybe the charger, odd they both stopped working. I use clearomizers on mine with no problems other than the once with the post.

thank you for the clearo confirmation! i want to order more, along with some new kgos. i was starting to get worried about the clearos. i really liked the one i have. it lasts forever and didnt leak. i'm going to order another kgo kit from a different company and some more clearos and viva nova heads.... i'll use their charger and see how things go. it was weird that both kgo's would die so soon. i expected them to last like 6 month each.

i had to go back to the 808 mini's cuz thats all i got left.... waaa! the torture! lol

The one that still has a light working try the centre post again, If you can get that working at least you have something to use for now. Where did you buy your kit from? Yes my clearos are exactly the same as yours and have no problems at all.

i dont want to say the companies name. they are a good company. they are sending me free ones in the mail. they should be here soon.

You might want to pull the center pin on the charger. Sometimes it gets pushed in also. Mine was having problems with one of my KGO batteries. I pulled the center pin on the battery and then it was still iffy , so I pulled the pin on the charger and all is fine. I hope that helps.

There was a problem with smokymizer's in the past shorting batteries. I don't know if it was just the smokeymizer or if the issue was resolved. I've never used them.

Two batteries that die within a month sounds odd. I'd contact the person you purchased the KGO from. Dumb question- they aren't turned off are they?

i remember reading about the smokymizers. i didnt order any because of that. even though i wanted to try those, just cuz they are so fun to say! lol

i talked to a supplier and they said that there was a batch of 'weak lithium cells' with the kgo. they got a new batch in, so i ordered some. hopefully these will work better.

you have to be really careful with the KGO's like people have said. I was originally cleaning mine with a q-tip but I was depressing it too hard and lost contact...I carefully pulled the contact back up with a pair of tweezers and haven't had any problems since.

Edit: I'm tired. sorry this seems repetitive.

Not cool. I got mine around a month ago They are getting less use these days...but I still love them for simplicity.
