I bought a joye 510t as my first pv and well I really dont care a whole lot for it.
here is why..

1.Somehow I went through 2 batteries in about 4 hours today (in the car vaping nonstop lol)
2. My husbands Cig2o (kr808d1) seems to give better throat hit and better flavor then my tank system. (using blank cartos and eliquid)
3 His Cig2o Also seems to not suck through the juice as fast. This 510 really seems to eat the juice up fast.

Talking to hangdude (who is freaking awesome!) He suggested maybe a kgo or riva.
The questions are directed towards the riva but interested in answers with both.

Here are my questions
1. Is the kgo bigger then an Ego? Is this thing gonna look all porn star on me?
2. The working volts on my 510t says 3.4 - 4. something If the kgo is 3.7ish is it going to be as weak as my 510? I plan on getting the dual cartos from smoketech. 1.5 shorties (cause i am still in sample the crap out of liquid mode) ill get bigger ones when i choose some flavors.
3. Is there a HOT pink cig out there that performs as well as the kgo is supposed to?
4. How in the world would you clean the clear cartos as they are plastic i am assuming and cant be boiled and baked? I would like the keep my upkeep costs as low as possible.
4. Taste.. My husband would vape just about anything but I am very very picky. (Which is also why i am very very broke trying out new juices) The juices i have bought seem to taste better from his 808 then my 510t. How is the taste with the kgo or riva?
5. Am i missing something and there is a way to make my 510t awesome? I dont understand how a cheap 808 is outperforming the 510t.

Hi tatoogirl,

1. I think the KGO (1100mah) and eGo (1000mah) are very similar in size.

2. That little bit more of voltage from the KGO provides me a nice warm vape when combined with an EMDCC. Even though I have not used a 1.5ohm shorty... I'm pretty sure it will perform well. My old 510-t provided a cold, flavorless vape... As I'm sure your already quite aware.

3. Don't know. The KGO comes in pink from HoosierEcig Supply.eGo 1100 mAh 2 battery kit

4. Flavor is much better compared to my old 510-t.

5. Not that I'm aware of. I messed around with my 510-t for 3 weeks before I finally threw in the towel and bought myself a KGO. Happy with my decision.

Good luck in your search for a PV that best fits your needs.

Here's my 2 cents. I've been using a regular Riva 510 with Boge 2.0 cartos for a few months now and bought 2 KGO's last week. The videos with the meter show the KGO coming off charge at approx. 4V but it feels like it drops fast. And they do last longer between charges because they are a larger battery, 1100 maH vs. 750. But in practical use I like how the Riva feels nicely balanced in my hand, the KGO feels awkward & heavy (I'm a woman). I don't take big huge lung hits so to me the vape is about the same. Riva has a pink 510 but it's not what I'd call "hot" but it is pretty! I think my next purchase will be the Riva SE.

Based on this and other posts by you, I think the RivaSE would be a very good match for your vaping needs.

I have an 1100mah pink SE Riva kit and it works wonderfully. The pink is very deep and bright (ego pink is more of a cotton candy color). I've never tried the 510t, but I'm guessing it would be similar to the ego t which does drink alot of fluid and mute the flavor a bit. The Riva SE does hit a bit harder than an ego battery does, but it isn't that much of a difference.

You can get the Riva in either a 750 or 1100 mah size. The 750 will last you 5 to 7 hrs and the 1100 for 10 to 12, depending on vaping style. Using low resist stuff will shorten that time. I purchased my kit from EVCigarettes (they had a great mother's day sale). The only issue I've had with the 1100mah Rivas is they won't work with the EMDCCs. It's weird cause the 750mah rivas will run them, but not the bigger bats.

For cleaning the clear dccs, the only method I've used is to blow them out. I've read posts about using a syringe and pushing hot (warm) water thru, but I haven't tried that method. I did find that the regular sized clear dcc's seemed to work and last longer than the 3.5ml ones.

I purchased the kgo but may pick up a riva kit from liberty flights. I want the kit that comes with the dual coil cartos and the cones to cover them but it appears they are out of stock. Is there another place with similar pricing to order this kit? thanks for the fantastic advice. The 510 is ok for a "analog" look but if i am going to quit smoking i need something with a bit more

Riva SE is 4.1-4.2v off the charger. I love mine. I have Riva standard that meter 3.7 and an eGo 1000mAh that meters 3.4
I MUCH prefer the SE. I also have a 5.8V and 3.7v mod and still the SE is my fav. Its just so smooth the whole way through. Make sure if you get a mega fat batt of what the volts are, so your not disappointed.
I was told today that Kgo meters 3.7 as well....

My KGO battery is about a quarter inch longer than my wife's 900mAh Ego-T battery.

Lookit this picture -

Battrey0923.jpg

A KGO battery is slightly longer than a 900mAh eGo-T battery and slightly shorter than their 1000mAh battery.

The KGO with a LR carto will hit considerably harder than the 510.

3. Is there a HOT pink cig out there that performs as well as the kgo is supposed to?

Brent sells pink KGO batteries :)

4. How in the world would you clean the clear cartos as they are plastic i am assuming and cant be boiled and baked? I would like the keep my upkeep costs as low as possible.

Quit using clear cartos :D

I'm not a fan of clear cartos but you should be able to wash them out with PGA.

4. Taste.. My husband would vape just about anything but I am very very picky. (Which is also why i am very very broke trying out new juices) The juices i have bought seem to taste better from his 808 then my 510t. How is the taste with the kgo or riva?

A KGO or Riva with a LR carto should hit at least as well as an 808.

5. Am i missing something and there is a way to make my 510t awesome? I dont understand how a cheap 808 is outperforming the 510t.

Easy - the 808 is a higher voltage device. A gross oversimplification but it's all about watts - and more volts at the same resistance = more watts, more heat and generally better flavor and vapor.

Joyetech does make a LR atomizer for their 510T but you'll get better flavor at the expense of battery life - on my own batteries moving from a 2.5 ohm carto to a 1.5 ohm cuts battery life by about half. You'd get a better vape but you'd be changing batteries fairly often ;)

If you like the 510-T drive it with a little more voltage or go to a LR atomizer *and* a big battery but there are other cartomizers that might meet your needs a bit better.

Just to make sure.. I can charge a KGO 1100mAh battery with my eGo-T usb charger or AC wall usb charger?

Some say yes but the vendor says no. I've heard a genuwyne Joyetech eGo charger has a lip on it to prevent you from screwing a 510 into it - but the KGO charger Brent sells for $4 will charge eGo batteries as well.

I'm still new and found the information help, so I appreciate you posting it! :) $4 for a charger isn't bad at all. I'll have to keep an eye on that website. Appears the kgo batteries are out of stock right now.

Yeah, they do go quickly - I bought three of them last shipment.
