I recently bought myself a Nemesis clone. I am really liking it, but want to try a kick. I see that you can get the original kick for pretty cheap, but I want a kick 2 because of the higher wattage and the ability to use lower resistance coils. I was wondering if anyone knew of a place where I can get one for less than $44? Too much to pay in case I don't like it and that is more than what I paid for the mod or the KFL+ clone that I have on it. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks

You might find one second hand in the classifieds. You could also post that you're looking for one and what you're willing to pay/trade and see what turns up.

I use one in a Nemisis Clone and 'to me' it's worth it. Most of the time less than 10 watts is plenty for me (I like my Kayfun style tanks around 8ish watts), but the extra five watts and amperage head room of the Kick2 comes in handy when I'm fiddling with dual coil builds (some of my more layered flavors I like to mix and match wick and coil types in the same build).

Kick2 clone
$8.37 Variable Voltage Kick Module for Mechanical Mod - 3.0V-5.0V at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Sigelei Kick clone
$8.33 Variable Wattage Kick Module for Mechanical Mod / PV - range: 5-12 watts at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I have two kicks from ft and one works just fine. The other burned up when I shorted it accidentally. I'm getting the Kick2 clone from on my next order to replace the fried one.

Those would be closer to the Evolv Kick 1.

The Evolv Kick 2 is VW and specs out quite a bit higher:
Output Power:
5 Watts to 15 Watts

Output Voltage:
2 Volts to 6.3 Volts

Output Current:
6 Amps

atomizer resistances:
0.5 Ohms to 3.3 Ohms

low battery cutoff:
2.7 Volts loaded

The first one looks like the Kick2 and the second specs and looks like the Sigelie Kick, which is why I labeled them that way. And there is only 3 watts difference between the Sigelie Kick and the Evolve Kick2.

The first is nothing like the Kick2.

The first is a Variable VOLTAGE Kick, rather than the normal Variable WATTAGE Kick.

It still has the same 1ohm and 4amp limitation of the Kick1. It just adjusts voltage instead of wattage. It even says it's a Variable Voltage Kick right in the link title.

I noticed that Evolv is selling off Kick 1's very inexpensively, and if you decide not to buy a Kick 2, I would recommend getting the '1' rather than one of the knock-offs.

I have an SmokTech 'Kick', and I don't particularly like it due to that 33 Hz PWM chip. The Evolv '1' that I have delivers a noticeably better vape.

With the Nemesis, I need a shim to ensure proper contact between the Kick and the tube (I use a small piece of plastic), which is one of the downsides of the '1.' The Kick 2 has dual contacts, situated such that there will always be a connection with the tube.
