Using a Kick 2 in my mech mod, with a 2.0 ohm coil running it at 10 W
Now as far as I understood the Kick would start to 'splutter' once the battery was getting low
But mine splutters when the battery is still half full of power.
Put in a freshly charged battery and it works fine again
I am using new aw imr 18500 batteries, could it be a battery problem?
Or something else?

Is your mod smooth metal on the inside (as in unpainted)

Also it's a PWM...is it a rhythmic "rattlesnake" sound when you fire it?

When you hit the button does it go like this
"Vzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt" long buzz while button is held down
or
"Vzzt"....."Vzzt"....."Vzzt" broken like a car blinker while button is held down

(best written analogy of the "sound" a PWM makes when it fires)

It's on a 69 mechanical mod, so all ok inside
When i fire it with a fresh battery it's a smooth"Vzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt" long buzz while button is held down

All is normal then..that is the 33.3hz PWM (pulse width modulator) doing it's thing...

It uses the same chipset as the "low" end VW rigs like the Vamo, it shortens the firing of the voltage instead of a solid push of DC, so it has that "rattlesnake" sound

What you can see is that it is actually running 6vdc to the coil, but instead of constantly pushing it pulses off-on-off on, the amount of time in relation to the time on averages the "mean average" voltage hitting the coil...

All is normal...doing what it's supposed to
