I'm sure this has been asked already so I'm sorry in advance for being lazy and not hitting the search button. Anyways, don't really vape on kbv that much but I was in love with the waffles extra butter flavor. On the negative side, the talk about Diacetyl has been a pretty big topic and are in the majority of buttery, custard, cream type flavors. I've vaped about three 30ml bottles in a course of three months and I'm kinda worried about the whole Diacetyl thing now and me having "popcorn lung" because of it, a fresh bottle of waffles extra butter came in the mail today and I quickly tossed it in the trash as I've tried contacting kbv via email (because they have no phone number) and I get no response. Can someone please ease my worry with info on wether or not they use the substance or not, and if I should be worried about having popcorn lung now? Thanks.

Nicoticket has this posted under the description for their CLS(Custards Last Stand), take it for what it's worth. At least they let you know up front about their e-liquid.

*Nicoticket LLC is committed to ensuring our "family" - past, present, and prospective - understand the inhalation risks associated with vaping specific types of flavors. All liquid containing "custard notes" from ALL VENDORS (including Nicoticket LLC) contain some combination of Diacetyl, Acetoin, and/or Acytyl Propionyl (collectively known as "diketones"). This liquid does *not* contain Diacetyl, but it *does* contain Acetoin, Acytyl Propionyl; or both. It is *impossible* to produce the "rich, creamy, decadent, full-mouth experience" in eLiquid without diketones. Such is life - everything that tastes good is bad for you. Potential users are advised that there may be reason for pause due to an absence of longitudinal research which can provide adequate guidance with regard to the relative safety of inhaling eLiquid containing diketones. As with all eLiquid regardless of the types of flavoring used, the user accepts the all liability and risk associated with vaping. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS SAFE VAPING. Purchase and subsequent use of this product is governed by our Terms & Conditions of Use. Please review the terms before purchasing or using this product.

I've tried contacting kbv via email (because they have no phone number) and I get no response.

Sewage, many of the flavoring companies have replaced their diacetyl containing flavoring with other flavorings now that are safe.
However, your vendor would need to be using certain flavoring companies and flavors.

Without being able to ask them, (and don't ask if product contains diacetyls as they don't add any so answer would be no, but they may not know aobut the flavorings that contain them) you are lost.

I personallly don't buy from companies that don't, won't or can't answer my questions. :)

So, find a vendor who can and will, then you can still enjoy "some" creamier vapes that are diacetyl free, though they may still have acetoins or acetyl prop.

if you are REALLY concerned, then head over to DIY section and start making your own. That way, you know what flavorings you are using, etc. It's not real hard, and you CAN make a few one flavor juices as a newbie that will taste good!

My first diy was just straight capellas sweet strawberry + VG nic . It was delicious. Also the watermelon. Easy peasy.

I was vaping some Gooey Better Cake from Kick Bass Vapor a few months ago and the Diacetyl issue had me worried too. I asked them about it and the response I got was that their suppliers claim that no Diacetyl is used in their products. Since KBV doesn't make their flavorings from scratch, that was the best answer they could provide.

That was a good enough answer for me at the time so I finished the bottle but I decided not to purchase more because of the uncertainty.
