Can anyone tell me if they know anything about the Kick from evolv? I dont know if i should get it or not. Is it worth it?

I don't know anything about these, but what kind of device do you have? Hopefully someone will con=me along who can help you, but it looks to me like they would need to know what you want to use it in to know if it would help you. 
If it stays working it's worth it. A kick and a SB would be a killer PV. Variable wattage is way better than variable voltage, IMO. I haven't heard they were junk or anything. They supposedly do what they say they will, but I have heard of cases of premature death. I guess it's the luck of the draw. I'm sure they can't be that bad, since they're sold out all the time. And what the hell. People pay $40 for eGos and boxes of clearomizers all the time and they don't last forever either. So, look at it that way.

They work on 18*** sized batteries. If you have an 18500 battery, you need an extension. If you have an 18650 battery, you can either replace it with an 18500 battery to make room for the kick, or you can use an extension. It needs about a 15mm gap between the positive nipple of the battery and the contact. I believe the OP has a Silver Bullet. A kicked SB is awesome. I think I'd just as soon have one of them than a Provari. You don't need to know the resistance of your carto if you're setting the wattage instead of the voltage. It has a 10 watt upper limit, so if you like blast furnace vaping, it could be a tad mild for you.

Evolv who makes the "kick" also makes the Darwin. They have always stood behind the Darwin and it has the second longest warranty of any PV on the market. Based on Evolv's excellent reputation, I would think for $40 it would be well worth it if you have the type of PV they are made for.
i have a kick in my SB with the extension. The kick has never been removed from the extension since I got it (the key to long life from the Kick IMO)
Like anything else the Kick has it's operational limits. For some a 10 watt and 5.5v limit is just fine, for others it won't cut the mustard. The two main reasons why I got the Kick were for the protection, and for being regulated in order to avoid the dreaded battery drop-off. I really didn't change the wattage that I was already vaping at.

Used a kick on my SB. I was not happy with it. Sure the vape was great at 10watts but battery life on an 18490 was not enough for me. And also, for some reason, having the kick in the SB drained my battery even if I was not using it. For example, I put a freshly charged battery with the kick in the SB before I sleep and in the morning the battery is dead. Weird. Figured there was a short somewhere but no matter how much I clean the contacts, it still keeps draining my batts
Silver Bullet with a Kick...sweet... I gave my first one away after I got my Provari. I did regret it though and had to order another Kick... Nhaler has them for sale right now, I just checked 15 left if your looking...
I do like the VW setup of a Kick over VV.... 10 watt limit. well thats a real sweet spot to vape at, its just limited. They have had their problems, Grimms frist one stoped working.
But for under $50 you cant go wrong.... Try it-you will like it.....

I'm enjoying my Kicked SB.. Currently without an extension sleeve and 18500 batts.
A link with the original ppst would have been helpful.

I'm having this same issue. I can place a freshly charged battery in my SB or my REO just before heading to bed and when I wake up in the morning the battery will be drained and in need of recharging.
Has anyone else encountered this and if so is there a fix?
The kick works well provided you don't change things up too much. If you set it up for an atomizer, it'll stay with it as the atomizer's resistance changes with use. However, you put on a completely different atomizer and you may need to adjust it and it's not easy to adjust. For example, I had set my kick up with a 2.5 ohm 901 but, over the weekend I was trying a 1.5 ohm 306 on my VV Woodvil. I needed to polish the Woodvil so I put the 306 on the kick. It was a little harsh. I wanted to turn it down a bit. I would have opened it up and adjusted it but, I was planning to go back to 901s on it and it was too much trouble. So, I lived with it and kept it flooded.
My other complaint about the kick is that it can run through an 18650 in a hurry. I get less than 5 hours on one. That may be why the Darwin uses proprietary batteries.
All of that said, once it's set up for what you have, it does deliver a very consistent vape and that is a pleasure.
