Kick issue not working rite ....maybe

Ok I'll admit. I may be reading things wrong . But I tested the out put of my mod with a multi meter and it read 3.7.. I out my kick in and it reads 5 on my multimeter.. If I'm mistaken shouldn't it read 15 if I have my kick turned all the way up.? Thanks in advance for your help. And yes I searched the forums and can't find my answer...... So I asked here

The Kick's settings are in watts, not volts, and with no load on the device is not going to supply an accurate reading.

Also I don't think you can measure the voltage with out a true RMS meter. Not sure about the kick but I think that is true.
Most vv's and vw's use pulse width modulation.
