I recently purchased a kick and planned on using it mostly with IMR 18350's in my telescope mod. When I put a fresh battery in, it works great until it gets to 3.7 volts. Once it gets to 3.7 or below, it starts to cut off and cut on again. It you listen to the atty, you can hear it turn on and off. I usually only let IMR's get to 3.4 but having to swap them out at 3.7 is a pain. Not much life in them even setting the kick on 7 watts. Is this normal or is something wrong with my kick?

i use aw imr 18350s and 18490s. the aw imr 18450 has 1100mah, but the AW protected 18500 has 1500 mah and i would obviously like more mah, so is the provari not going to be as powerful if i dont use aw imr? kinda sucks if so cuz i have one on its way

More mAh is not always helpful... There is a voltage curve involved. In protected batteries, the voltage curve is spends most of it's time between 3.3v and 3.7v(lower than most consider acceptible for vaping). In IMR batteries, they spend the longest part of that curve at 3.7v.

Now, I'm not saying that is for sure the case with AW protected vs AW IMR, but that is the general case...

hi all,
can I know, whether efest IMR battery suitable for evolv kick?
Efest imr 18500,18350.

Your good! I'm presently using the Efest imr 18500 battery kicked within "The Boss". I have been experencing a slight loose connection from the kicks spring. This will be easily remedied by shimming the opposite side with a strip of hard thin plastic.
Happy New Year everyone!

This is so depressing...lol I've had a kick for awhile now and I just thought I had a defective unit...lol It's a shame they couldn't have the kick cut off lower...I mean if the bulk of the battery life is in the cut off phase what good is that? I know once my studder vape starts I can get hours out of it on my LT before it gets down to 3.6 or so. It just seems like they cut their own throats with that design. It's like a car that will only run until the gas needle drops below 3/4 of a tank and cuts off. You still have a lot of gas left in the car but it does no good if it won't run. Oh well...better than nothing I guess.
