Well, I just opened How to install exodus and what I got is that it is sending me to the Fantastic addon. Anyways I don't want to get into the depth of this. But Exodus Kodi is improving itself. Recently they have updated their addon with updated scrappers and improved the content quality very nice. Exodus was and still the best Kodi addon for movies, sports, and live tv as well. Here is how you can install Exodus Kodi on v17.6, Jarvis 16 and also on firestick, Roku and other different devices.

I'm working on a project way above my head, I think. I have a Streamsmart android box and want to put that build in a Intel Nuc with windows 10. I've been trying the transfer of files with ES File Explorer and Dropbox. When I get over to windows in dropbox the file is there but the kodi.org file won't show up. Is there another way to do this or any ideas of what I'm doing wrong?
Add: I think the whole file is there it's 743mbs in the file

Make sure your Winderz system is set to show all files. The default is to hide system files. By setting Winderz to show all files, those system files become visible.

I cut off cable many years ago, before there were any devices to make that possible. I just use the video out on my graphics card to pipe downloaded content to my TV. I must say I am much happier nowadays with my Roku smart TV and Hulu/Amazon. There is tons of free content available through various apps, too. I plan on next installing an HD antenna so I can get free network TV.

I'm kind of late to this party, but I kicked cable maybe 10 year ago ? - I forget. I had a bundle with cable, a landline, and internet. I cut both the cable and the land line at that time. I was too busy to watch TV anyway and couldn't justify the cost. I personally can't stand TV, either - the ads, the mainstream news - drives me nuts (I grew up with the TV on 24/7, and my ex is the exact same way - one of the reasons he's an ex, lol.) I'm happy with my now-aging Roku with Netflix and Hulu. I used to do customer service in a call center and was always surprised to talk to someone who still had a land line. I hung on to my land line for the fax machine - that I used less than once a year. So dumb.

Most of the providers have a free trial. Amazon looks like they want cash for every show, even if Prime member.
I am just doing the same as you and trying all the Trial versions. Netflix looks like mostly movies.
We are using the $10 Hulu package, but it's not live until you cough up about $45.
Directv Now seems like your best bet, legally.
I have and Android box and fly under the wire for content I can't get on Hulu.

Amazon Prime has a ton of content that's free to Prime members. Usually you have to pay if the show is really old, or if it's on 2nd season etc. and is really popular. When you do pay for a new show, you usually get to watch it a week before it airs, so it's worth the money.

As for live TV, just get an antenna. Indoor antennas are pretty cheap nowadays. You can pick up the Amazon Basic indoor antenna for only $15.

Hulu is arguably the best bang for the buck as far as TV shows goes. There's some pretty good movies on there, too. Netflix has started to annoy me with all its Netflix-only shows and movies... I quit it a few months ago because I was so sick of their content.

Additionally, if you're using a device like Roku there's usually a ton of apps you can get that have free content, as well.

Some folks (like myself) live in a canyon type space where an antenna does diddlysquat. The only reason we had cable 3 decades ago+ was because we couldn't get reception via antennas like everyone else.

That being said, no way in heck I'm paying for cable TV anymore.

I cut cables a year ago and couldn't be happier. We were paying around $160 a month for HD DVR Sat service with hundreds of channels we never watched and were just tired of the stupid costs.

I bought an HD antenna for the roof. It has a 70 mile range or so. Pulls in crystal clear HD broadcasts from the major networks. Use this for sports mainly. Get around 83 channels though more than half of those are in another language.

I then purchased 3 Amazon Fire sticks and one amazon fire tv box. I went down the kodi road at first but ultimately was never satisfied so now I use another free service that works amazing for movies and TV shows. I use yet another service for live TV which includes every channel I could ever think of including HBO and all that jazz.

I have at my fingertips more content than I ever had when paying and now it is virtually free. I do pay for a quality VPN that runs on all my devices. So $78 a year for that and no other charges to speak of.
