KillRY4 by River Bottom Fog Sauce (RBFS) available online at www.vapingwatch.com
The juice: Site description, "A mixture of mainly burley and Cavendish with a sprinkling of Virginia, it is cased with flavorings closely mirroring an RY4."
The Hardware: Mech with Atomic dripper, 1ohm micro coil of 28ga Kanthal, Koh Gen Do wick.
Ratings are from 1-5 depending on where a juice falls in an attributes spectrum. Only the last rating, "overall", is based on 5 being the best. (For sweetness 1 equals very dry and 5 equals very sweet. For tobacco impact 1 equals very mild tobacco and 5 equals very aggressive and/or complex.)
Sweetness: 4.5. The site says "Without a doubt the sweetest Fog Sauce in the line-up." They speak the truth, this is a very sweet vape. Thankfully, the sweetness that comes from the flavorings the tobacco is cased with is fully natural tasting, none of the artificial sweet notes often found in very sweet vapes that can make those sickenly. It's not a rich sweetness found in some NET RY4s that have a strong caramel presence. Instead, it's more like a sweet pastry and I even get a sort of ethyl maltol cotton candy hint.
Tobacco Impact: 2. Even while being heavily cased, the flavor of the tobacco does come through and plays an important role. It's a nice Burley and Virginia that makes this a dessert tobacco instead of just dessert.
Vapability: 4.5. I find KillRY4 much more vapable than many other juices that are this sweet. Partly because it's not a candy or artificial sweetness, and also because for me it just plain tastes very good. I reach for it often, and don't get tired of it during long sessions. There's a complexity to the flavor, offering many different notes that fade in and out, that keeps me interested during active tasting. I also grab for it when just wanting something sweet and tasty.
Flavor Accuracy: 3.5. The site does a very good job at describing this NET. There's just one glaring issue for me; it's sold as an RY4 but for me isn't exactly one. RY4 is tobacco, vanilla, and caramel. I'm not getting caramel or vanilla, I get tobacco with a pastry sweetness. Oddly enough, classic RY4s have unified flavor of the three elements that at times comes through here, so in a certain way it works as one, but it's really more of a dessert tobacco to me.
Overall: 4. I've been enjoying KillRY4 a lot, it's one of the best dessert tobaccos I've had. I've used the term 'dessert' a lot in this review and I really mean it, if you don't have a sweet tooth this probably won't work. I do have a sweet tooth, and KillRY4 more than satisfied it.
