So, I was at work and all of a sudden my KF3.1 stopped wicking. No idea what exactly happened, but after some troubleshooting I decided it had to be the wick I put in a few days ago. I guess I used a little to much cotton and it chocked. Anyway I had to re-wick it. Working in a research lab, and actually being there, I didn't have any cotton on me. I decided the only really acceptable alternative I have is a type of tissue used quite frequently in labs. Kimwipes. I rolled up a small piece of it, stuck it through the coil and tried it.

It doesn't wick quite as well as cotton, but the flavor is great. If you can get your hands on it, you should try it. I might just take a box home, boil a few sheets and use it again.

I am a service technician for a medical instruments company so I use Kimwipes all day every day.....It never occurred to me to use one as a wicking medium....interesting idea!! And good to know in case I ever hit a snag and am out of cotton at work!!
