Hi, i recently ordered a Trident and M16 Sentinel from fast tech and i want to start building my own coils and stuff, I've been watching a lot of videos and reading a lot of the intros into sub ohm and rda threads but i cant seem to find the right battery or charger. Mainly I'm afraid of getting a battery that doesn't fit my device or a charger that doesn't fit my battery. I already have the kanthal wire, cotton, and multimeter i just need a battery and charger.

I don't plan on going any lower then .7 ohms resistance wise for now since I'm still fairly new so i was wondering if this battery is good. If not can you recommend me a good battery with a good amp draw limit
Sanyo 3.6V 20A 2.0Ah UR18650EX 18650 Li-ion Rechargeable Battery [Sanyo UR18650EX 18650 Battery] - $6.29 : Lithium Rechargeable Batteries, Battery BMS, Pack Assembling

Also if someone could recommend me a nice cheap charger that would be great.

Other Question:
Got my Trident Clone and the device seems to be super tightly put together, i have a really hard time taking it apart. Is there some sort of lube that i can put on the o-rings to help smooth things along?

Also why cant i post on other parts of this forum?

I have never used any sanyo batteries.. but with mechanicals, you want to stay with IMR batteries only.

My current favorite 20a batteries.. that will fit in a Sentinel
Batteries : MNKE IMR 18650

and the best value/performance/safety charger right now.. i think you may find it cheaper on amazon.. but rtdvapor is a very good vendor.
http://www.rtdvapor.com/online-store/battery-chargers/nitecore-intellicharger-i2-detail

and please... take my advice as suggestions for further research, not gospel... as sub-ohm coils can be very dangerous. Learn what you can/cant do with your batteries before you even wind up your first coil..

use juice to lube the o rings on your atty, and you need 5 posts to get out of kindergarten :2cool:

I'm no expert on batteries, but I'll just say stick to quality protected batteries. Others more knowledgeable can chime in.

As to the charger, don't get a cheap one. Spend more money on a quality charger, your batteries will thank you.

On the lube, I just use an e-liquid bottles filled with 100% VG, or you can just use e-liquid.

You can't post to other parts of the forum until you get over 5 posts in the New Member section.

Hey!

i have a trident that i bought from vaperev a while back and it was impossibly tight at first! i wouldnt use any lube because even with it being tight, the parte kind of slide appart every once in a while. what i did (when i first got it) was put a little e juice on the grommets. its fine now. also after you use it for like a week, the rubber gets lubricated enough. the only think i dont like about the trident is the airflow. there should be a larger option IMO idk.

as far as batteries go, the AW IMR batteries are the safest i think. chargers are whatever, i have a 4.2v charger that works fine.

Don't use e-juice to lube the threads on your mod. That's a good way to corrode the threads and interfere with the electrical conductivity throughout the pieces. Use dielectric grease, available anywhere electronic tools/supplies are sold. Dirt cheap, looks like Vaseline, and won't goober up your threads.

Do it right. Always.

Current recommendations in the vaping community are to use "safe chemistry" batteries instead of protected NCR Li-Ion batteries. -- http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/129569-rechargeable-batteries.html

At one time protected NCR Li-Ion batteries were recommended for mods. However, with the current technology in modern battery safe chemistry IMR (Li-Mn) and the newer hybrid batteries are recommended as the safest available.

Since you plan to get into Rebuildable, you will want to use "high drain" batteries, which just happen to also be the IMR/hybrid batteries. If you do not plan to use sub-ohm coils < 0.8 ohm, any of the batteries that have a 10 amp limit will suffice. If going < 0.8 ohm you will need one of the batteries that have a minimum of 20 amps.
