about 2 yrs. ago i bought a 3dom kit and it sucked.
it didn't do a thing for me.
i then sprang for 51 trio 1 batty kit,it was alright sort of ,but it was lacking.
now i just received a v2 kit yesterday and i loved it but the batty did not last as long as i thought it would ,but i am a heavy vaporer and a 2.5 pack a day smoker.
of course i only bought 1 batty ,it was late in the month and people on social security can understand that i am sure
i am gonna order e-juice and another batty on 6-4-12 ,maybe a manual batty this time.

so here's looking at you

Hey Larry I just posted this in another thread.
For what you are spending I honestly think you would probably do better with this kind of set up.
The 51 series is what I had started with and though I have moved on and not entirley happy with my first PV it did get me in a place of education in the world of vapeing.
let me know what you think.

Here is a paste of my earlier post...

I am sorry but I have to add my :2c: !
The ProVari is absolutely by far the best. I love mine and I use cartos with a tank. They are pricey but worth it.
If you are on a budget another good one is available at springvapor.com called the Tsunami VV mod
SV Tsunami VV MOD - Spring Vapor
Nik is quite approachable if you have questions.

Yeah, Larry. You're on a fixed income. So buy a $250 Provari, and be sure to get the extension tube. By the time you get done buying batteries and cartomizers and a charger and stuff, it'll only cost you a your whole S.S. check. But it's one heckuva vape. You can always eat cat food for a month. It'll be worth it, really.

Play nice Pro Dudes! Truth is most of us would have a Provari in the arsenal if we could afford it. A lot of us can't.
The first "step up" I went to was a cheap ego knockoff. 2 integral batteries, charger, atomizer, and some empty tank cartridges. It ran me about a carton and a half of analogs. I still use it as my all-else-failed backup.
I smoked about two and a half packs a day too, and swapping ego batteries 4 to 5 times a day got tiring. I'm going to pick up an epower 14650 from Crystal Clear Vapor for less than a current carton of analogs. 1 unit, 2 batteries, charger, etc. Hoping I can just swap batteries once a day.
For pure durability, I also gave up tank cartridges with atomizers in favor of Crystal Clear's resurrectors. They seem to be the carto that will not die!

Another battery for your v2 is a must I have a kit from them two batteries does the trick for the whole day and I suggest the usb passthrough for when you are in front of your desk. Works like a charm.
careful with the batteries tho, they are not very resistant, One of mines after a normal drop just went wrong, anyway I used this kit just when on the go so it's all good. I have a better mod for daily use

Even generics at 3.00 a pack would be 7.50 a day, or nearly 40.00 a week..

1 month, and you'll be spending 20.00 a week in juice/cartos.

That's a 50% savings after a one months worth of investment.
Does it ever occur to a Provangelist that the reason people buy generics at $3/pack when they could buy them for $20/carton is because they don't have $20 that very minute?

Here we have a guy waiting for the end of the month to buy a $10 battery and he's swamped with Provangelists from some other world, shilling for him to plunk down $200 on one of the most sophisticated and expensive PV's in existence. Do you really think it's necessary? Don't you think someone in that position might have other priorities?

You could save a bunch of money if you bought a deep-freeze and a half a cow to put in it. You could save a lot of money if you built a 9,000 gallon gas tank somewhere and filled it up. You can save a lot of money in a lot of ways if you have the upfront costs. If smokers were in a position to save money in the long term, nobody would ever buy an individual pack of cigarettes.

So no. Not everyone has $200 or more to plunk down on a Provari. Just like they didn't have $100 to plunk down on three cartons of cigarettes, so they pay $5 a pack, one or two at a time.

In a country with a median income of a paltry $26K a year, I have to wonder how many of you have help with your bills, or no bills at all. How many of you are trying to run a household and how many are living with mom. Or are you all just above average?

Hello and welcome to ECF Mudhill
Guess some folks just don't understand that there are those of us who just can't afford to have champagne tast on a beer budget :) Believe me when I say that I had a major panic attack my first month when I discovered that I hadn't ordered enough juice! I had one little bottle left and it was 9 days until SS would show up in my bank account. Heck, I didn't even have enough to go out and buy a pack of smokes

Lol... I suppose I'm fortunate then, if you can buy 2.5 packs of analogs a day, a provari would pay for itself in 2 weeks.

where i live a pack of generic cigs cost about 2.50 a pack,,but i use pipe tobacco and a injector,so it runs me about 60.00 a month buying tubes and 2 lbs. of tobacco.

thanks for understanding my place in the food chain.
i have learned that if i want some thing extra on my SS check i have to sacrifice some thing else .

like this laptop i am on my daughter gave it to me,the first puter i have ever owned and had to teach my self how to use it,still learning.
well i had to choke up 250.00 dollars for to get it started, with deposit and buying a hot spot from verizon wireless.
any way it cost me over 450.00 in a 6 week pieriod to get this darn thing going.
i could not buy food for 2 months cause of it,,luckly i am a food stocker ,in good times you put away for bad times.

Larry who only smokes 1 or 3 cigs a day now.

Yep, that's what I was doing the last few months before I discovered e-cigs. Then I read they were going to jack the taxes up on pipe tobacco because they found out that it wasn't going into pipes. That was the last straw for me.

I hope you didn't take my "just eat cat food" remark seriously. It was meant to be sarcastic because some people think everyone is fortunate enough to be able to plop down $300 for a Provari. It's inconceivable to them that someone might have to choose between a $200-300 e-cig and food. I suspect that some of them are posting from their parents' guest house. You know. The little 4 bedroom bungalow out between the tennis court and the swimming pool, down the lane from the servants' quarters.

I just switched to something really nice after messing with pen styles and homemade pv's for 3 years. I baught a Ego-T from RockNRoll Vapor.(A local Vendor) And I really really enjoy it. It wasn't very expensive and I am really happy with it. The tank system also holds about a ml of liquid, and if you were a heavy smoker, I think it would get you through the day, mainly because of the fact you can throw a prefilled tank in your pocket with a cap on it and if your first tank happens to run out of juice you can just pop on the second one. The battery life will also easily make it through a day of vaping. And the kit comes with 2 batteries. Just make sure you don't buy the old ego T...get the model that has low resistance atomizers.

Welcome and congrats on leaving cigarettes behind! Mudhill, I have some Volt batteries (they work with the V2) I'm not using that are in great shape - send me a PM with your address and I'll send them your way...

I'll expand on Sailorman's logic just a bit myself. I can afford a Provari but I don't need or want one. I have a VV device and I found it stayed at 3.7 volts anyway because of the juices & cartos I use. Why spend that kind of money when I'm perfectly happy at 3.7 volts?

The Provari fanboys (and girls) do tend to get on my nerves. If it works for you, great, but it may not be the best solution for everyone...
