The 13 year old is normal size and the 16 year old is small for her age so both are wearing about the same size clothes.

The youngest is running cross country this coming year so she got some running shorts and tops and both got some shorts from their favorite store so it didn't hurt too much.
Shorts are such a rip off. They charge just as much for half a pair of pants as they do full pair
You're right about that. There's not much material at all to the running shorts and they're about as much as a pair of jeans.
They had the right logo on them but luckily were buy one and get one half off. Plus they are having the no tax weekend here for back to school.
To change the subject, have you been reading the wta thread in the general section? Dvap has made a few posts and it makes for interesting reading.
Yes I checked out what he had posted here but other then a quick look at classified sections to see what's availible I prefer to avoid the drama in the rest of ECF
Yeah it's not like some of the other wta threads in the past. Just good reading so far.
Thankfully for everybody I have the willpower to stay at bay for the most part. It is good reading! But there are some glaring holes in the discussion that if anybody dared bring up
it would degenerate into drama hell.

but its a proven fact that once you pull the pin if you don't throw the grenade bad things happen
I got to throw one in basic training. They didn't give us any when I was in Saudi. I guess they weren't standard equipment for my unit.
grenades were fun. we used to get extra fuses for those practice grenades. roll one down the line in formations. NCO's weren't to thrilled with us but we enjoyed it so thats all that really mattered
Was that in the army? It doesn't seem like it's been 20 years since I was in there.
Yes it was army but well over 30 years ago. My youngest is in army now. He keeps reminding me how much stuff has changed
