Give them to the kids as your walking out the door in the morning to go to work. Got to do it in the morning so they are unwound by the time you get home
Too funny! I'm dreading going back to work this morning. I know from experience that it will be a big mess. At least no one from there called me this week. That has happened before.
Yeah. I learned the hard way it's always better if the call. At least that way if something goes wrong while your gone you have a chance of somebody actually following instructions on fixing it. If they just wing it then not so much
Well I wasn't disappointed when I got to work this morning. I got about a week and a half worth of new work in while I was gone so it's gonna be balls to the wall for quite some time. It would be nice if they at least would have made a list of stuff that came in instead of me having to do the usual easter egg hunt to see what came in. It's a miracle that anything gets in and out of here in a reasonable amount of time.
best part is the phone call you get in about 2 weeks thats somebody asking about the stuff they submitted the day after you left that had a 2 day deadline
You've got that right. I've already been told about one machine that someone is in a hurry for. Funny thing is that it was one of the last to come in on Thursday or Friday. I might push it to the front.
Check it 1st. If it has an envelope of cash taped to it then push to front of line. otherwise it's " so sorry but the person in charge of this was on vacation. all requests are handled in the order received"
I like to try to do it in order received but some fish are bigger than others and sometimes have to be catered to. I'm sure you run into that too. This particular fish isn't very big and there was no envelope attached so it looks like it's going to have to wait.

I had an old guy one time that used to own the local BMW dealership come in with a machine that he used at home and when I was finished he stuffed $20 in my shirt pocket.
Having an old guy stuff a twenty in your shirt pocket is probably better then having him try to stuff it in your pants pocket
I am glad to say that has never happened. I had another guy that I refused to take a tip/cash from and then after he left I found $40 on my desk.

Wow work sucked today. I went off on a guy I work with. I'm just so sick of the lack of effort and laziness of some of the people I work with. I tried hard to keep a positive attitude again today but it just wasn't meant to be.
That's one of the reasons I prefer to be self employed. It may make for longer hours and at times it really doesn't pay well but at least I don't have to put up with lazy people getting paid the same amount of money for doing less
