so i was looking through some new mechanical mods and saw the knight by vape smith. looked on the forum to find some info on it. theres nothing! this thing is beast and yet no one has commented on it on ECF! i see mostly threads on regulated devices. with these new 50 watt and 100 watt devices, are mechanical mods dying out?

I hope my mechs don't die out, just because of new high watt regulated mods being released... That sucks... they didn't tell me about that when I bought them...

In all seriousness though... mechs and regulated devices live in harmony in the future... It's true.... i've seen it.

Knight mod is a looker...

Amen.
Im all for high power regulation.
But my mechs arent going anywhere because nobody is ever going to build a board as simple and reliable.

I dont get folks that get so tribal about this topic either. Who says you cant have both?

+1 on this. Who says you can't have both. My last few purchases were a Cloupor DNA 30, Madvapor Colonial, IPV2, and a Sinister Karolus box mod. 2 regulated and 2 mechanical. It all comes down to our own preferences and intent.

Totally agree. I typically use my mechs (SS Nemesis, PB Ray and Ray X) with my drippers at home and have several regulated mods (WAEII, eVic Supreme and Provaris) with RBAs for out and about.

.Mechs will be on the decline but they will still sell due to aesthetics. That Skeleton Key mod looks mighty beautiful, not sure how it performs though. I've sold all of my mechs (all 4 types of Stingrays, SS/Blackhawk Panzer, Pegasus, Nemesis) except for my custom copper Panzer.

I actually think the 26650 hype will die out. Right now there's not a large amount of good lookers in the 26650 department and for the reasons that you would want a 26650 (primarily battery life), you would be better off using a dual 18650 box mod which would supply more power and charge faster since you can charge both of the batteries in a short amount of time whereas a 26650 will take quite a while to charge.
