How can you tell if the battery is bad or the atomizer is bad?
I've been vaping for a month, and both my e-cigs konked out at the same time today..
I tried cleaning the atomizer on one with rubbing achohol & rinsed with water, dried, used a newly charged battery and still, no vape?? ugh...
They've both been working excellent for a month until today. I have a 4072 & a Janty Kissame.

Do you have more than one battery? If you are sure the battery is fully charged, try sucking on it. Is it lighting up? If so, it is probably good (and I say probably because one time I had one that was lighting up but still was not working right).

If you have more than one battery, interchange all the parts....you might be able to tell then. And when you try the atomizer, put a few drops on and suck on it without the cart on it. Any vapor at all? Any heat?

Yeah, I did all that. I also cleaned the battery threads where it screws on. Still to no avail. One of the cigs gets warm when I hit it, only a tiny bit of vapor, the other cig doesn't get warm at all and no vapor at all. The light lights up on the 4072, but the Janty doesn't have an LED. I'm leaning toward maybe it's the atomizers? I'm gamblin on that and ordered new atomizers for both cigs. I'm not giving up! LOL I admit, I had to have a few analogs today. That really sucked. They don't even taste good to me anymore, they taste like cardboard. I guess that's a good sign.
I can't wait to solve this mystery! Thanks for your help.

Ok... Replacement Atomizer Arrived!!! Yippie!!! It was indeed the Atomizer!
I think I made a few mistakes with maintenance & use.
I think I ran it dry too much and it got overheated.
Also, I think I need to drain it on a paper towel at night religiously.
Any feedback will be appreciated.
I'm still not clear on Atomizer Maintenance... What works? What hurts?
Anyway! sooo happy to be vapin again! I was really jonesin' for it!
I HATE ANALOGS!

Here is how I maintain my 801's

Soak in white vinegar for 3-4 hours.

Dump vinegar and run clean cool water through the container for 10 minutes. (I usually leave this in the bathroom sink and walk away)

Stop running water, let soak 15 minutes.

Rinse again for 5 minutes while gently 'shaking' in the water.

Place on towel, paper side down for a few hours.

Ensure everything is dry,

Every cleaning has given me a hit like a new atomizer, minus the solder scent.

I figured white vinegar because it does a good job cleaning buildup from plumbing pipes for a house hold substance. You can see the gunk seeping out in about 15 minutes. If you hit this without getting out all of the vinegar you will NOT be happy with the results, vaped pickles anyone?

ok, it WAS the atomizer. Now I'm making them last longer by just rinsing them with hot water and then turning them upside down to drain @ nite. If they go cold, I just replace it. I find this less stressful than trying to discect it and figure out how to make it last for eternity. Anyway, I'm calmer now. Just sit back & enjoy, they WILL have to be replaced sooner or later. . ... ... ... hOPEfULLy lATeR tHAn sOonEr
