Kooky issue with Clearomizer and Ego Twist

So, I got some new toys and they are new to me. One being the GSV core clearomizer and an ego twist battery. The clearomizer (similar to a nova) will work with my other ego batteries with no isssue. When I put it on the twist, nothing, nada, zip. It's like the battery isn't even on. I have no idea what to make of this. It works fine on the other batteries, my DC tanks, little disposable clearomizers all work fine on the twist - but the big baby says "no" on the twist. Am I am idiot? Am I missing something? Or do I just have the oddest luck?

Try adjusting the battery connector by pulling up the center post slightly with tweezers.

I also pull the post on my battery. Use caution and patience and do it in small moves.
I use a dental pick and slowly go around the batt post slightly rocking it.
After a few rounds and small rocks, it will raise.

...and be careful not to screw things on "too tight", on any of your batts.

The clearo post itself may have become a tad recessed during it's attachment to different batteries, since the depth of each battery well is not exactly the same across batteries.

Over tightening will eventually cause the post ring to deteriorate and cause batt probs more frequently and have heard that juice can leak into a "sealed" batt. Over tightening should be exposed as the ultimate user error.
