KR8 Battery Question

Hello,

I am wondering if the battery of a KR8 should have a big slot or groove in it or is it just the cartos? Thanks in advance.

My V4L battery and passthrough doesn't have the groove on the inside that the carts do.. But my cigeasy KR8 does.. Interesting..

What does it mean though?

Hi Fishin,

I don't know what it means. Maybe someone can enlighten us. I was also wondering if it would make a difference if the slot/groove was rough and uneven as far as getting a good draw etc.

I believe it is just a vent. to make the draw a little easier. not sure as I am a rookie also. my v4l xl battery doesnt have it either.

The groove is for the intake of air into the carto. Most kr8 auto batts and cartos have it and most manual batts do not. I do not really know why. I have seen cartos in the same pack with and without it. If you happen to have a manual batt and a carto that both do not have it you will have no air draw into the carto. It almost seem that when putting together the batts and cartos they use the center pole pieces they happen to have on hand. Some with the groove and some without. Fine Chinese quality control.

Does anyone know if it would affect the draw if the slot in the battery is actually pretty deep, uneven and rough?
