This is a little long as I'm looking for help. I tried to post in the proper forums/existing threads but am unable to do so till I post here a bit more.

Anyway, here is my story...

Started vaping almost 2 months ago (huge success and I've converted about six others) and it rocks! I started with ecigexpress.com's menthol starter kit (battery and prefilled cartos) and a bottle of Menthol refill juice. I watched a video showing how to refill and I had great success.

Then I ordered blanks from the same company and they seem to just absorb all the liquid even though I fill them the same as the reused ones from above. I can put like 4-5 more drops in them before they are too full and I know it isn't leaking out as I put the condoms back on. No big deal though...

Then I ordered some premium prefills from Vapor4life.com and they ROCKED. Much better vapor production, etc. So I get a box of blanks. Here is where my issue comes.

I go to fill the premiums like normal. Pull off the rubber cap (instead of the hardcap/rubber combo I'm used to). Everything looks normal inside. I fill it like I normally do (and didn't overfill). Then I put it back together and put the cap back on.

I screw on my battery and take a puff and BAM a mouth full of e-juice that practically blistered my tongue! It was so foul!

I tried several more times with the same result...

HELP! :)

Thanks all,

In my experience, when I get a hot liquid explosion it is either because I overfilled the cart or I forgot to spin it / shake it. If an air bubble gets trapped in the center tube of the cart and heats up, when it pops, it shoots hot liquid straight into your mouth. I haven't used the premium carts, but the principle is the same. Make sure you either spin / shake the cart, or let it sit, connector end down, overnight to get the bubles out before you use it.

I had the same problem on a regular basis. What I ended up doing was making a DIY mouthpiece extension out of a pen cap. I heated up the end of the cap and forced it onto another cap to make it large enough so I could slip it onto the end of the cart. Works great. I have since made another one out of a crayola marker cap even better. It has a divider inside that blocks the fluid yet still lets the vapor pass

This stuff works great if you can find it.
