I found a woman in Wisconsin, www.bedazzletubes.com, that sells both clear and frosted kraken tanks. I dont think they are all quartz but they are like 9 dollars each. I ordered one of each and should be here Friday and I will upload pics.

I have had had the kraken for a week and Ive found my sweetspot. Dual coils of 28g kanthal with cotton wick coming in at .8 or .9. No crazy heat, thick and flavorful. Lovin it. Ive tried ss rope, found it to be a bit to harsh and mesh was getting pretty hot but that was at about .5.

That's OK. If it doesn't get you off your Kayfuns, we'll just blame it on being a clone ;)

I hear that. When I first got into vaping I didnt see a problem with clones. It wasnt until I started to own the real things that I started to gain a real appreciation for craftsmanship. Dont want to knock anyone for getting the clone but really it only hurts the industry. As long as there is a market for it, they will continue to rip off the companies that really help our community grow.

Now that I got that out of the way. Im really loving the ekowool/ss combo. I think Im going to re-wrap it this weekend and clean it up a bit

is it an ekowool core + SS outer wrap? or SS core + ekowool sleeved over?

either way? how do you get them to fit into that tiny wick hole??

vaping vermillion river kentucky applewood premium blend on the kraken now... bliss.

Its 2mm ss rope with an ekowool sleeve. The only part that goes into the wick hole is the ss rope. The ekowool sleeve covers the rest.

Noticed there's two "new" Krakens out. The v.1.1 and the brass version. Fear not, tho! If I'm not entirely mistaken, the only update is that the negative screw holes are no longer going all the way through the deck. Phew! Sometimes I hate it when new stuff comes out. This revision doesn't make my "older" one feel outdated in any way, tho. :)

Only problem I'm having is finding 7/64 ceramic in stock lol. All I have are 1/8. I'm not really liking the mesh much. :(

Never tried the ceramic, I use 400 in my Kraken and 500 in my Noble1 I may try 635 just cause I have some but the 500 is rock'n  but I have read of people making DIY ceramic wick out of air stones (for fish tank) and a dremel to shape to your specs :) hope that helps
