Can anyone tell me how to remove the Kraken's top cap from the platform piece? I tried every method I know but it's still a big fail. I feel stupid about asking but... Someone's got to know the answer. Many thanks.

I'm sure if you go on YouTube you'll find plenty of videos for it.

It's 2 pieces. The sleeve and then the cap. I'd take the whole sleeve+cap unit off the tank first, carefully (because there's glass under there) twisting while pulling on the very bottom. Then I'd take the top cap off of the sleeve, again with a twist.

I've been doing exactly that with no success.

have you tried putting it on a mod first....twist and pull...

Hahaha! I just did that and it worked. Actually before I read your post I watched a video about the Kraken by Grimm Green. He didn't really mention the issue but he had the Kraken attached to an Opus D and simply pulled the two-piece top cap off the mod. I had an ahaaa moment and tried the same thing. Easy when you know how!

I removed one of the o-rings thinking it'd help and it DID NOT. Most frustrating bit of kit ever. Had to grip the edge of it with pliers, wrapped around some cloth, and had to twist/pull as hard as I could to get the freakin thing off. Hate it.
