Pebo, IMR's are fine for these mods, the chips I use have several fail safes including an amperage lockout if it puts out too much amperage to the chip the chip will simply shut down before circuitry is damaged, all you do is turn the mod off and back on and it will reset.

Kat, they are essentially the exact same thing chemically and structurally with maybe a millimeter difference in length but they're both the same Milli-amp hours and same voltage as well as both protected.

I'm making a little green man tonight and I'm working on a pretty special bottomfeeder as well. I'll keep you updated.

Thanks James. I thought the IMR's would be fine, I just wanted to be 100% ready for when my mod arrives.

Is mine the "pretty special bottomfeeder"? :D

James,

I got my mod and it looks perfect! I ordered silver Ultrafire 18650 from Madvapes. They do not fit in mod or in my charger! It does have the 18650 listed as batteries it can be used with.

Madvapes has some red jacket 3000 mah Ultrafires and a black jacket 2400 mah Trustfire for sale bsides the silver ones. Have you tried those other two kinds and did they fit in your 18650 mods when you tested them?

Thank you,
Lori

Wow! Sounds like everyone is getting their mods!

I ordered mine back on October 21st, paid in full, and still haven't received my mod. Matter of fact James PM'd me about my mod possibly being finished, but he made reference to the wrong mod in the message! And now he won't respond to my messages =(.

James if you're reading this, please get me my Little Man rather soon if you can. I have waited very patiently and might move on to Provari if needed.

James is only one man, if you wanted something like the provari that are mass produced you should have gone that route and paid double. If you want something custom that will be hand built and outperform a provari (2 1/2 amp limit...come on now) you may have to wait a bit. 10 days is a great turn around for a mod builder, I have waited far longer for a lesser product multiple times. You cannot get attention to detail like you do with a mod from James by rushing it, lay off the man.

I really do appreciate that GAC. I consider it more just people being anxious to get it than being mean or anything. On the lighter side...Little Green Man

I still need to epoxy the voltage adjuster in but I wanted to let you know it is completed as of about 5 mins ago. I'll get it completely cured tonight and shipped tomorrow.

Now I believe I have a few 18650s to start on!

James,

Stop tempting me, little green man. You really need to get a better camera or a better technique for taking the photos. Those photo's don't do your work justice. I know, I have one of your mods.

the new multi-million dollar revamped Hubble telescope set to manual focus taken by the most interesting man in the world being held up by mila kunis in the playboy mansion with a diamond necklace wouldn't do james' work justice!

I am still enjoying my starter mods James. I bought the AW batteries and really like them. I have a dumb question-- can an 18650 evercool be made to be a 3.7 volt device instead of VV?

Just set it to 3.7 and then dont touch the knob again LOL
