Welcome to the world of Sciatica. Rest up and always keep it in the back of your head when doing things. Oh and now it can happen on the small things too. Like tying your shoes (happened to me LOL) flipping a pancake (yup happened to me) oh and just getting out of your vehicle (mine was my truck). The only thing that stopped it was a car accident 22 years ago and it cut the sciatic nerve but that was only on the left side. The one pain I would never wish on anyone. One tip I can give you to help sleep better is sleep with a pillow between your legs (when your on your side) really helps with sleeping.

You know the funny thing is, everyone I tell about what happened seems to have or knows someone who has it. Although they welcome me to this "club"...I tell ya what, I think it's a crappy club and I don't wanna! Yeah I've heard some pretty bad stories from folks about back injuries and stuff lately and I used to have a really strong core from training that I never actually had back issues, but apparently I need to get back to it or something.

So far so good as far as healing up, I still have a slight radiating pain in my right leg when I'm sitting or standing for too long but most of my actual back pain is gone.

Hey James, I won't add my two cents about back issues, hope you feel better though.

Po wanted to know about the clear cases on the 14500 mods, if they are as crack resistant as the black cases, not sure if you saw the post, a few up.

Still loving the heck outta my krimson! Best mod ever.
Never mind -- the part about me. James answered it.

Well actually it's been kind of a strange couple of weeks. I had to have the chiropractor work on me a couple of times, was in pretty good shape for a couple days but still had some sharp pains when I walked after a while. I thought it was gonna start to dissipate but it wasn't really.

A few days ago I was sitting on the couch tossing the ball for the dog being about as lazy as I could've been and the ball went under the chair, sat down on the floor with one leg straight and reached under the chair to get the ball and SNAP. It was more of a felt snap than a sound but it was audible. I had pretty intense stiffness in my leg and right side of my back but the electric pain has been gone.

I was excited the pain was gone, only to find out that apparently this would make it just as hard to walk only in a stiffness way, not a pain way. Over the last couple days the stiffness and muscle soreness has gone away so I think it was a good snap not a bad one. Can't really afford to do anymore doc's and chiropractors so I'll just see how it goes.

Overall, I'm walking again without a limp and the sharp pains are gone. Still a little stiffness but if I had to judge it, I think I dodged the bullet on it and I won't have lasting side effects. Been a scary ride the last couple weeks wondering if it was going to be like this forever. Going from working/school/modding like 16 hours a day to not being able to even sit up was a real crushing change for me. Everything has stacked up real quick, but, at least I'll get to work at getting it back down.

Jeez, when I'm telling these stories I feel like I'm writing a diary!

This may be a shock to the system for everyone but I am modding tonight! I'm feeling pretty good, still a little stiff in the morning and such but I'm able to walk it off in a few minutes and feel human again, feel strong again. Nothing like that feeling of knowing there is just so much you can't do that you could normally. I'm not whining, I'm very happy it wasn't permanent and it really makes me feel for those who it is permanent for.

However! I will be modding trying to knock down some of this back order stash I've got going. I'll update you guys later tonight if I get something fully finished.

A wild night of modding and homework! I got several mods finished on the list this evening: Blue on Blue 18650 and 14500

Black on Black 18650 w/ display

Well boys and girls, 9 hours of modding after 6 hours of homework is good enough for me, started this shindig around 2:30 after work so I'm going to pass out and I'll get some more up here the very next chance I get.

Donesmokin, I'm stoked you still enjoy the Flip. I picked up a little lava tube style device when it was on sale to try out, honestly not to bad for the price but even being an 18650 these don't seem to last all day.

I have to change batts on the LT when it gets down to about 3.6 volts or the vape suffers. The LT won't last me anywhere near all day, but the Flip will! Sure the Flip is big but when you set it down, it ain't gonna fall over LOL! Both Little Man mods are still going strong too. All my KK mods are favorites of mine.

As to your injury. Please, please don't over do it! If you're anything like me you could have a weakness there the rest of your life.

Yeah I've noticed that even though I'm pretty much fully healed I still wake up with the leg pains and stuff, or they pop up when I'm sitting/laying in an odd position for too long. I do think there is probably some lasting effects but I'm not out of commission so I'll take it.

I was taking a few minutes to look around the boards today, boy there are quite a few wood modders starting up isn't there? I mean don't get me wrong, I think wood looks really nice, but aren't most wood mods really big?

Hit a deer on the bike two years ago. I doubt my hip will ever be right again. Your younger so I'm hoping you can heal better than me!

I'm more into function than form so wood's not my thing. If I didn't have 6 VV mods etc, etc already I'd be in the market for a ZMax. Can you get your hands on a VW chip?

Also I'm on my first 801 fusion (tanked) carto. Seems to be pretty good to so far. Have you tried them?

Hi James, I think if you started making wood or metal plated cases, you would be so swamped with orders you wouldn't be able to keep up. Plastic is just not esthetically pleasing. You make such amazingly good mods, it would be great to see them in better looking cases.

That's what I was talking about, when I told you about the stickers I make, too, being decorative.

Just my 2 cents.

So has anyone missed me? I've been just jammed up lately, I'm still modding and I've gotten a few things done this last week but didn't get pictures up yet.

Red on Red Evercool

Blue w/ Red button/LED and display attachment

Sneak Peek at the Smurf Mod.

Sorry I've been away but finals are this coming week and with 2 huge term projects and work I haven't had a whole lot worthwhile to talk about. I have been doing the physical therapy stuff for my back/leg and they're all good now I don't even have pain in the morning anymore which is a blessing. After next weeks finals I will have the rest of next week and the week after off! I'm taking a few days off of work as well as a vacation style deal, although I'll probably end up modding a lot of the time because it's what I do.

How is everyone else? I miss any wild stories or crazy happenings?
