KTS+ button lock stuck/too tight! Need Help!

Hello fellow ECF members! I am requesting for help and/or suggestions to help loosen the lock on the firing pin for my KTS.. I have tried nearly everything to unscrewing this bad boy (manually, wrapping a rubber band around the button for more grip, wrapping a cloth around it for more grip, using two separate pliers to grip and twist however i'd like to stay away from this because it damages the threading and dents/scratches the material). This is extremely frustrating because the button alone is putting my mechanical mod out of commission!

I would greatly appreciate any help or tips on how to unscrew the lock on the firing button, or last resort a reference on any place that sells the KTS+ button by itself. Thanks again, everybody!

Hi mrchrister and welcome to ECF.

I just had a look at my KTS. First thought I have is make sure you are turning the nut the right direction. With the switch pointing towards you, clockwise will unlock it. I've never done this because I've never had to, I would take a needle nose pliers and put enough force on the nut to make it turn. If it breaks, well it was not working anyway so I would not have lost anything, but that's just me. The whole switch can I believe be diss-assembled, but again I've not done this. I don't know of anyone who sells the switch alone, or if any other switch will fit.

did you ever get it unlocked if so how or were you able to buy one let me know same problem
