Need ideas for stuck threads

I have a copper Beacon mod from Beyond Vape that has a locking ring on the fire button that is opposite threaded. I cannot get the bottom threads off OR turn the lock ring. So the mod still works and I can unscrew the rest to get batteries in and out but the lock obviously won't work now. I've tried pliers and managed to get the bottom piece off but still can't get the lock ring to spin. I've scratched it up trying and I'm irritated about that. I lubed the threads when I got it.

What can I do to loosen these threads? Any ideas?

Regulated mods are supposed to break, not mechs...

Have you tried heating it up? A hairdryer would be your best bet.

Soak in ATF.

Try putting it in the freezer for a little while.

Try putting it in the freezer for a little while.

Soak in thin lubricant first then freezer in a ziplock. If things shrink and pull apart some of the lubricant will work in.

Thanks for those tips!! Got it. The only damage came from before I asked for help..

Its a little scratched up now. Guess I'll have a reason to force patina a mod now
