I've not used either one, but if your intention is to get a full mechanical, be sure to check the recent thread of the Corolla not working. Its been found to have wiring in the switch assembly, and apparently, as shown by the op on that thread, sub ohm vaping has a good chance of popping those wires. And according to him, while it's fixable, its not an easy task.

Glad I saw your thread. Just ordered the KTS to try out. I got a Vamo last week and don't really care for it. Have tried at several different watts and different carts and just don't get much vape or th out of it. Love my Ego-t. Will give the KTS a try.

Really? I have been using a vamo v2 for about 2 monhs and love it

As someone who has 2 vamos and the KTS gold n chrome I find myself reaching for the kts most since I got it. Its a great little mech and for the price, jump on it.

Now I will say that the fit of the middle gold tube on mine could be better. There is a little wobble even tightened down a bit. And the gold plating, if you choose that model... well mine is three weeks old, daily use, and I have given up polishing it. It has worn off SIGNIFIGANTLY. I got mine at discountvapers. The gold on that middle tube and on the button is totally worn. I asked eric to try and get some replacement parts tubes and full switches so at least maybe I can replace them.

As far as how it works... stellar. I use protected ncr18650a panasonics that have an 8amp limit. Got from fasttech. Great batteries. I do use unprotected 18350's as well (efest) but I also use a short stop from holocron labs with those.

By the way jtc, if you arent getting much vapor from a vamo... I dont think its the vamo at fault. Both mine work great with vivis, cartos, rba's... everything I throw at it. Maybe head over to the vamo subsection and start a convo there about it. It might help ya diagnose the problem.

Actually I do think it's the Vamo at fault. I think you got a lemon. No vapor at multiple voltage/wattage settings tested with multiple clearos/cartos sounds like a bad unit to me. Contact the vendor and get a replacement.

Well i was trying to keep the thread on topic but no... it very likely isnt the vamo. Most.often when I hear this kind of issue with a vamo it is centered around the use of batteries that are not high drain batteries, which the vamo requires. It could be a poor power output issue, a bad board, coils, or could even be related to the juice makeup he uses.

Frankly it could be any number of things. Could it be a bad vamo? sure, but just jumping to that conclusion without troubleshooting it first is kinda pointless. Besides, what if it is an easily correctable issue and he gets a new vamo and the same thing happens? Its worth giving more info and checking it out first.

For those that have the gold/chrome kts... how is the gold on yours holding up? Mine is about three weeks old and that gold has worn off the middle tube and the button. I was pretty dilligent about removing hand oils too for the first couple weeks. It didnt prevent the gold from wearing off.

It looks gorgeous out of the box... now it just looks worn and old. The chrome has held up well tho.

Anyone have any ideas on how to restore the gold finish? or is it toast?
