Well after trying in vain to find a silver sharpie around here, and getting annoyed at the black ink rubbing off easy sometimes, I found a great solution. I got a labeler off ebay. Brother labeler PT-1290 can use a tape they make that's 9/64" wide. Got the labeler for under 20. The tape is tzn201 and got it for 9 bucks. 26 feet of tape should last a long time. Nice easy to read lettering, it comes black printing on white background. Seems to hold up well but peels off easily for when I clean them out and change flavors. And really doesn't look all that bad either. Yeah it's more expensive than a sharpie, but it satisfies my ocd'ism really well:thumb:

If you cut a little sliver off of a condom you can use it to cover the label on the cart that way it doesn't rub off. If you slide it down close to the battery end it works real well. Plus it also helps the carts stay in the XL carrying case without having to put condoms back on all of your carts after each use. I did this before I found the metallic sharpie that Mary Kay suggested.

I use a label maker also, but I don't put it on the carto--I wrap it around the condom that goes around the battery end. I make sure that the tape/label is long enough to slightly wrap onto itself so that it does not peel off, yet it is very easily removed if I no longer need that particular label.

I am somewhat OCD also about keeping stuff organized and this is the easiest way for me. All of my cartos are separated by flavor/color in my carto box. I also have a section for extra condoms/plugs. My juices are all set up in alphabetical order so I can find them easily, but they are also set up so that large bottles are alphabetized separately from the smaller bottles.

As soon as I finish vaping a carto and it is empty, I put the battery end condom or .... plug back on/in it and put it in its place in my carto box. That way, when I am ready to refill, I only need to take out the plug and insert syringe, refill and then take a condom from its section and replace it. (Each flavor has its own section for full cartos and another section for empties.)

If the carto is not empty, I put both condom covers back on and put it back into the carto box, but either turned a different way than the others or standing up, so that I know that particular carto has been slightly used but still has some life in it. That is the carto that I will pick up first when I want to vape that flavor again.

Maybe I need help.

Maybe I do too...I've been working toward this system! Are you concerned about keeping the covers (condoms) with their appropriate carto group as I am? I worry about cross-flavor-contamination!

Um, I like the sound of your system...care to share a pic, and more details? Like what kind of carto box you are using? Your friendly OCD-buddies would like to know. :)

Haha! When I take a carto out of the box, I take both condom pieces off and put them back into that carto's section so that when I come back after using said carto, the condoms are right there. I then proceed as I stated in my earlier post.

I have a small box right now as I am just getting started on collecting cartos, but plan to get a bigger set up as my stock grows. Some flavors that I only have one or two cartos of but want more, already have their own sections for when I get around to buying more cartos in that flavor.

Heck, I have a section for blanks, another for samples I don't like and am not sure what to do with, and the list goes on. Each section is also labeled because I hate having to try to read that little writing on the cartos every time I open the box.

You have restored my faith in humankind. It is nice to know that I am not all alone in my little world of OCDism. I didn't realize just how OCD I am till I started setting it all up. I'll try to get you some pics this weekend, lizzie.

Wow, sounds like you all have a good system going on. I wish my ADD didn't get in the way of my OCD because I really really want to be organized with all my cartos but I start it, then forget which is which and have to start over. etc etc... I hope the paint marker works. I also will try the condom cover idea. Thank you all :)

I posted about this and got several handy tips. The one I liked the best and am using ATM is NAIL STICKERS! They prettify my carts and bottles as well. :) The bottles are labeled and I just put the same sticker on a bottle as the carts. Loads of different stickers out there, even not-so-girly ones if that bothers anyone. :)

*high-fives ya!* I bolded the part I do too! You are sooo not alone -- and I look forward to your pics/inspiration! Oh, and I didn't realize either until I started this project. Hmmmm...maybe a new side effect of quitting analogs? :D

I'm still buying boxes/containers trying to find the perfect "system" LOL!
